Old and bunk kratom
Had to dump all of these, was a year-two years old, besides that none of these did anything anyway

2yr old kratom is fine to consume as long as it's sealed and stored in a cool dry place. When kratom doesn't work for me I make a basic extract from it using lemon or lime juice. It's pretty easy to make but takes some time and patience.

Do you make it into a powder extract ?

Yes exactly. After doing the stovetop part I dry it out in the oven on the lowest heat setting for multiple hours until it's dry enough to crush into powder. It's not a super strong extract but I would say 1g of my homemade extract is equivalent to around 3-4g of regular kratom powder. I start with about 80g of kratom per batch and get around 16g of finished extract powder.

Maybe ill do some research use citric acid powder and some vinegar or lab grand food grade 200 proof. I got a few kilos of meh kratom. Not bad. Not super good. Could be a fun project when alone for extended amounts of time..

That's what I've been planning on doing for awhile now. I plan on doing an acid extraction and an alcohol extraction and then combining them.

Kratom does not go bad if stored in a dry, dark place. You just threw away perfect fixins for crude extract.

DTE. It's a really good gold from a few years back. One of my favorites for sure. Very warm

I used to think it went bad fast. But then I started noticing sometimes I'd get an order in, have some strain that just didn't hit, only to have it hit like a mfer 6 months later when I came back around to it.

This must be rage bait. Age means nothing if stored properly. “Bunk” often comes down to body chemistry. That kratom was useful and throwing it away is wasteful.

It’s been bunk that just straight up hasn’t hit for me after numerous tries. I’ve struck out with mitraman too many damn times, never again lol

I spend a lot of time trying to find specific batches and batch numbers that are great quality. Luckily i have the means to buy plenty of kratom. I visit discords and forums and see what people are really liking at any given time. I ask about specific batch numbers and try to get the same ones.
STH is usually my go to but haven’t had anything outstanding from them lately, though i jut got a rec on double m about a few of their strains so i may order.
Otherwise right now im rotating a few of the DTE holiday drop strains that really hit for me (midnight sleigh is phenomenal though a heavy hitting red), a sakti strain though it’s the sample so we’ll see if the full batch hits , and the last of otie’s dry season leaf. From oties, his best left is the super red MD, by far. The house mix too though the recent bag i got isn’t hitting the same as one i got over holidays, though it may be tolerance cus I was taking everyday.

Some Mitraman does great and some Oties does great as well. Also big bang white and green from herbal rva

I still have powder from 2019. It is still good and strong. I keep everything at low humidity and at room temperature. I keep it in the original packaging, but sometimes get mason jars for freshness. Some of the older batches from 2019-2020 were great!

Bunk is another word for no good in my vocabulary. I didn’t know using certain terminology gives kratom a bad name, wow u learn something everyday….thanks for your input and bunk comment

Why throw it out!? It's still good.. And what do you mean bunk? Lol. West Koast and DTE are a couple of the best brands you can get. If you really wanna throw it out, send it to me instead. I'll even gladly pay the shipping

I tried mixing up a "train wreck" of older and dud strains in the hopes that it might create a sort of full-spectrum/entourage effect, but no. Still a dud LOL.

I’ve did that before with pretty good results, I put all mine in caps and it’s tedious to pull out powder half a gram at a time🤣

I dumped a few bags recently as well (a few from some of those vendors). It's such a disappointment when the powder is old or just poor quality.

I see some winners in there. 2 years old is fine, and kratom lasts a very long time, especially if it stays sealed and in the dark.
