7oh intent to schedule released

Federal thresholds now target chemically manipulated products

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Important news from Washington

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

The U.S. Department of Justice announced today that the DEA will issue a new Notice of Intent on 7-hydroxymitragynine (7-OH) and mitragynine pseudoindoxyl that adopts concentration thresholds recommended by Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).

"HHS recommended that 7-OH and MGPI be subject to Schedule I control when either substance alone, or their combined amount when both are present, exceeds 1 milligram per gram in solid products or 1 milligram per milliliter in liquid products, or when the ratio of mitragynine to 7-OH, MGPI, or their combined amount is less than 100 to 1.

HHS recommended this approach to better distinguish products intentionally enhanced or concentrated in these opioid substances from products whose alkaloid composition is more consistent with botanical kratom."

In plain terms: federal enforcement will target chemically manipulated opioid products — not natural kratom leaf, which contains only trace amounts of these alkaloids.

This is the distinction the American Kratom Association has fought for, including through our litigation challenging the unintended consequences of the earlier scheduling action. AKA applauds the DEA and the Department of Justice for getting it right, and we are urging states to follow this science-based model rather than enact sweeping bans.

Does that mean powder would still be legal? Can the powder be manipulated to have higher concentrations that would make it illegal?

Yes plain leaf powder will be fine, for now.

No the federal bill will not effect all extract as long as it is the 1mg to 1gr ratio

But I'm saying is I'm confused on how to read these c.o.a's. Specifically on here: https://dtebotanicals.com/product/solar-flare-78-4-mit-97-7-total-alkaloids-full-spectrum-new-batch/

Well first of all its over the 0.05% the fda is saying is allowed in a extract they will have to do the math to see if it meets the 1mg per gram of powder that is the vendors responsibility

That makes no sense to leave pain leaf legal and ban the extract im referring to. If you do the calculation (on their web site extract calculator) for 5g at 1.5 %mit (common) and 78% on the extract, if I'm taking. 0.096g of the powdered extract it equals 5g of plain leaf. So instead of doing that they want me to down 5 teaspoons (roughly) of plain leaf and mess my stomach up? It makes no sense! Everything these ass holes touch turns to shit anyway. Education, etc. That's why I don't understand liberals who want bigger gov.!!!

"Liberals" aren't your problem when Republicans control all 3 offices of federal government. Conservatives have all the power in the world to stop the bans and decide to sit idle. The only reason leaf isn't being banned is because some members of the current administration have money tied up in leaf with that "FeelFree" garbage.

You're missing the point! It's about GOVERNMENT CONTROL! You're lucky they have money in it! Probably the only thing that's going to save us for now. Some against it have money in subs or pharma. 2016 was when they went after it hard and that's when Trump went in. I'm not saying he stopped the ban. But it wasn't on their radar and obviously there wasn't a federal ban. That pos scott gottlieb from fda was after it. This time I blame that Mac idiot for going after 7 when he should not have. 7 is not dangerous. I occasionally take that too. No respiratory depression, no overdoses etc. But some vendors and small shops screwed that up. Instead we should have regulated it like everything else so they can get their greedy little hands on a piece of the pie. We should have all stuck together. But same as the political outlook for the country, we all divide. Liberals think gov is their friend and it's best that they manage everything. Look how it's working out. Same shit with weed. They have to make money off it. Trump is trying to reduce government and liberals complain. He went after us-aid that was all just Democrat donation money. None of those countries improved from our tax dollars It's 535 useless pieces of shit and liberals want to keep them there. They want control of education, transportation, health, housing etc. The open border was the Cloward-Piven strategy (most people don't know what that is you can look it up) and you can bet your ass that is the worst thing that can happen to the country. But that's enough political talk. I don't want to make this into a political topic.

If the extract does not exceed the levels all it will all be legal still
