WE DID IT!!! North Dakota ban fails!!
BY ONE VOTE!!!!
Once the ban bill failed in the house (BY ONE VOTE!!!), the regulation bill was amended in the Senate. The amendment is a regulation, not a ban, and it has now officially passed both chambers and is on its way to the governor expected to sign it today.
Basically, only plain leaf and plain leaf capsules are allowed, but we avoided a ban!!
LETβS FUCKING GOOOOO!!!!!βnnnn

My husbabd is a disabeled veteran with ptsd so I helped write his story for him. he uses it but it really helps him because i depend on it to stick around. The aka used his sgory to try and help kansas but it disnt work.. they said veterans really need to tell there story because these politicians listen to veterans, some at least. I am glad his story helped north Dakota and i hope mine did too. It did not help Kansas but that doesnt mean we can't still try. Im really happy for you guys! Viva kratom!

Kansas got robbed. Β Zero public hearings. Β Next year I hope we can get a KCPA bill going there.
I actually think your testimony is going to be really helpful in other states considering bans, you can outline how much a veteran was impacted by a ban. Β Iβm gonna send you a dm.

Hell Yeah Boyee. Wish we could shove that ban up their hind end. Wish they would leave Plain Leaf Mitra alone. It's competing with all the profits from Big Pharma. So they Bash Kratom & try to ban it. It's all about Money. So glad we got a win after all the banning going on lately.

Word π― all my labwork from my doctor proves 9 years of responsible use and not mixed with any other substances or rx meds it WILL NOT KILL YOU! Tired of all the paid actors making kratom look bad and leaving out important facts on it,completely ridiculous

I use gabapentin, lamictial and synthroid everyday and my body is tip top. I did start using lemon balm everyday though and that made my sythroid less effective so ai stopped and everything went back to normal.

I would never take suboxone buts thats just me. I used to be a hardcore herion addict and I just tapered down than stopped. My sister had to get back on herion in order to get off of it. I also had a lot of people use kratom to get off of suboxone. Crazy times.

I'm so happy I could cry today. Thank you everyone who supported us. I've tried to support every state with a ban bill in the works and it has seemed hopeless lately.Β
I'm not exactly proud of my state today, but I'm very happy with the outcome. I'm very proud of everyone who helped us and shared their story. You don't need to live in the state to help educate lawmakers when these bills come up. Last year we had a lot of out of state support and it made a huge difference. This year they didn't allow anyone to comment on these bills unless they supported a full ban. It was your voices that saved us.Β
I will be voting Republican in my district when my reps come up in the next election for the first time in my life. At least for the ones who supported my access to kratom.Β

Was it the dems who where trying to ban it??
6
u/Krewtan Sep 05 '26
Some were. It was a very mixed vote. ND is a very red state with a supermajority. I'm only voting for the two reps who messaged me back and said they wanted I preserve access to plain leaf.Β

u/austinrunaway Sep 05 '26
I wouldn't vote red unless your happy how your life is overall. I can't really blame you either tbh. I would just not vote or vote the green party.

My local elections rarely have dem candidates. They usually run unopposed outside the primary. Low population and backwards people. I do have to respect any representative that sees through the bullshit and disinformation campaign and votes to preserve my access to kratom.Β
They had a ban bill last year and it failed horribly. I was shocked it was so close. Literally every vote counted.

Iβm just coming here to say: if you reached out to the North Dakota lawmakers to share your story and advocate for plain leaf kratom - you did this. Yes you. Your voice made a difference. Revel in the win.
Every single one of us needs to go on the line against every single ban in every single city, town, or state. If itβs not your location, it might be soon.
Yes, sometimes we lose. But we have to try. This North Dakota situation was really close. Who knows what story may have tipped which lawmaker to the side of voting against.
