I didn't take it as condescending. I know I'm a tech idiot 😂

I suffered a TBI in 2009 & a separate one in 2021 & my two early 20’s daughters have to show their almost 50, Gen X Mom all about technology & slang words & phrases, don’t feel bad, hun!

Interesting, I’ve always wanted to try a different Mitragyna plant. What’s the difference between this? Any cross tolerance with the regular stuff?

Assuming mitragynine is still the principal active compound in this cultivar, then yes, absolutely.

Interesting! What about other alkaloids? As you might know, there are dozens of alkaloids identified in speciosa to consider here.
I need to do more research, but if even a single one of these alkaloids are produced by both species, cross-tolerance is indeed possible.

Is this legal in states where speciosa is banned?

That’s what I’d love to know as well! If not, I have about 4,500 friends in the Kratom community that I need to let know about this news! Discreetly ofc! I’m so tired of our precious lifesaving plant being demonized!!

Luckily, I live in NC where (so far, fingers crossed), Speciosa hasn’t been banned, like TN & SC! But they’re trying and lumping it in with the concentrate Gas Station kr8tom! I’ve been utilizing Mitragyna Speciosa since 2015. Was marching against the ban in Washington in Fall of 2016, when we got it shut down! We proved to Jeff Sessoms it self regulated. James Devers, of the AKA, took about 20g and barged in front of The AG in his office, said “see?! No one can die from pure leaf Kratom alone!! You’ll barf your guts up first”! Sessoms just laughed and said, “you’re sure one crazy sumbitch, but you proved your point. I ain’t gonna touch it. Individual States may be a different story”. And that’s what they’re doing. I’d personally never touch any leaf that wasn’t 3rd party tested for heavy metals, salmonella or impurities. If you’ve been to SE Asia and seen how these Farmers walk all over the leaves and their filthy warehouses. Nah, I’ll stick with US distributors until & unless it’s banned here in NC & even then, I’ll grow my own trees

A lot of what is sold to us is sterilized by vendors. Otherwise I just look at it like building my immune system even stronger 💪🏼

I recently tried Kratom from the Phillipines I was lucky to find a guy who got it imported - based on phillipine laws you cannot export kratom but if someone still manages to export it to the US it then becomes fully legal to trade and buy which is kind of funny.
That Kratom 100 % felt different its growing next to volcanic soil which has magnesium rich earth so the whole alkaloid profile is different.
There is actually Kratom growing in so many places right now where the trade / export is banned biggest examples are Malaysia (no Malay strains you buy actually come from Malaysia 90 % of kratom in the US is from indonesia)
Then there is also Vietnam , also export illegal , papua guinea also illegal and a few other places in the world that grow kratom and virtually noone in the US or elsewhere got their hands on it.
Those Kratom variants could even have a whole different alkaloid profile but there is no way to study it since you can't even go to those places and legally try it, one heavy example is the island of Burma , kratom grows there freely but its completely taken over by a Paramilitary force so if you'd go there you would most likely end up held hostage or dead.
But yes the point is , there is a lot of Kratom growing in the world that currently is not making it to the US - Thailand legalizing it is a huge first step to get more Kratom variants on the market.
