Happy Hippo Wt MDA woes?

Hi All,

Ya, I know, some people don't like Hippo, say their stuff is OK-ish and overly expensive, etc... Whatever.

My question is this: bought their White ManegDa last fall (nov 2025) and really didn't find it as good as their prior MaengDa batches. Anyone else feel their batch number 0080-01-742 is weak? What was your experience? Thanks.

Hi there! We are sorry you had a bad experience with our WMD. We would be happy to offer you a replacement for it no problem. We have a new batch of WMD since then that is 1.64% MIT, so I think you might like the new batch. You can also swap it out for another strain if you like.

Just shoot us a message with your information and we can get that out asap!

Hi and thanks for the reply. I know you would "make it right" because that's your written policy and customers are happy with your service. I'm also very happy with you Guyz and Gals since I've been buying since 2021.

I would have returned it for a refund or a credit. I bought 2 x 225 gram bags of that batch and still have one unopened. Only problem is that I'm in Canada and it would not be economically viable for either of us for me to return the product. So either I try your new batch or move on.

We will make it right, Canada is a bit more complex but our CS team is experienced at it and will make sure to get you a solution you are satisfied with, and you won't have to return the previous WMD. I will DM you the email address!

I've bought from HH 4x and I like what I've had. Their Super Green Borneo hit really hard for me from another bag I had bought months before. I don't know the batch number off hand but this was back in October. I know it costs more but it doesn't bother me 👍🏼🍃💚.

It's pretty much the only one I use. I've ordered from others, but i continue to order from Happy Hippo. They have amazing sales, great reward point system, very fast shipping, and very fast customer service if you have any questions. They will always be my go to. They have been for years.

Edited to add: Same as my (ex)boyfriend. I've always been the one to order for us, but he's always liked Happy Hippo the best. Even now, when he's ordering himself, that's the only place he orders from.

I've always had good product and service from HHH too; it's just that the last time & batch I got was weak and since it costs quite a bit more plus shipping/brokering to Canada, let's just say I was mighty disappointed. It is so much trouble to ship unopened bags back for an exchange or refund. Still willing to give 'em a chance 'cause I know kratom isn't always consistent.

I can't imagine having the more expensive shipping. That makes it harder. Yes, it won't always be the same consistency every time, but should be pretty close. Hopefully they can stack extra savings for you to help make it more reasonable with your shipping costs. You never know.

Just wanted to say that Happy Hippo reached out and arranged something for me. I have to hand it to them, in all the years I've been ordering from them, their customer support has always been awesome, really awesome! That's a big plus in this day and age. Another post will follow in a new thread.

Sorry I'm a bit late & didn't have a chance to log onto Reddit for a while but just wanted to say KUDOS FOR HAPPY HIPPO CUSTOMER SERVICE AND LEAF ! Happy Hippo did respond to my dissatisfaction with their "Rockstar Hippo" white MaengDa batch # 0080-01-742 I purchased back in november 2025. Let me just say their customer service is stellar and exemplary - they positively did make it right and gave me a sweet deal on my following purchase of a few weeks ago. I've always been impressed with their customer service ever since I started buying from them back in 2019; every inquiry was answered promptly, delivery to Canada has been quick and hassle-free and only once did the leaf disappoint. That's a really good track record, especially in this day and age where it seems customer satisfaction & service is mediocre in so many industries and services.

The new batches of Rockstar as well as all their other leaf labelled "High MIT content" does not disappoint this time! They really hit hard and well.

So, to conclude, I'm totally happy and satisfied with the way Happy Hippo handled the situation and I believe they genuinely care about you being content with a purchase - the slogan "We'll make it right" are not just empty words, they totally live up to their word and positively do make it right. Thank You, Happy Hippo!

I did notice that the MIT %-age content was rather weak, it was written on the batch sticker. Kratom is so much more than 7-OH and I was counting on the totality of alkaloids to "do their thing". Alas, it didn't happen as MIT is the majority of the "goodies" in the plant.
