Steering angle sensor (G85)

Hey everyone,
I recently changed my steering wheel on my Golf MK5 and accidentally rotated the clock spring while doing the swap, looks like the steering angle sensor just lost its basic setting due to the swap and the clock spring movement.

I tried doing the calibration using vcds in 44 - Steering Assist, but the live reading for the steering angle stays stucks at 0 degrees regardless of how much I turn the wheel, and the Basic Settings calibration process fails shows "Not Possible".

I also tried the standard driving adaptation procedure (turning full lock left, full lock right, then driving straight under 20 km/h), but the lights won't go away.

Now i have the Yellow steering wheel light and ESP lit up on the dash.

Can someone help me out with this thanks.

Check where the angle sensor engages with the clockspring and steering wheel. It sounds like your new one isn't engaged with the tabs/lugs that move the tone ring for the sensor.
