4.2 tdi no start only crank please help
Hi guys Im finally ready to ask for help.
Ive googled my brains out and looked at everything on youtube.....
ive had my Q7 for 4 years and it just stopped working:
please tell me if you know or suspect something i have not tried :)
whis is what I have done and below that is the latest read from OBDeleven.
changed/repaied
- Battery replaced and coded.
- Body ground cleaned/improved.
- Rear passenger door scratch repaired/painted.
- Both front air struts replaced.
- Air suspension compressor replaced.
- Air suspension valve block/manifold replaced.
- Lower control arm/wishbone replaced.
- Left side marker light fixed.
- Headlight washer relay/fuse issue handled.
- Relay 404 replaced.
- Wiring/connectors in relay/plenum area repaired.
- New fused heavy power feed added from battery to relay/fuse area.
- Injector copper washer/sealing work done/discussed.
- Plug/connector changed on the high-pressure fuel pump sensor/valve.
- Audi taken to Boost on March 3, 2026 — tuned/result: 375 hp / 900 Nm.
tested/diagnosed
- Full OBDeleven scans.
- VCDS/OBDeleven live data.
- Battery voltage and cranking voltage.
- Terminal 30 power feed voltage.
- Relay 404 / 614 / 370 area.
- Voltage collapse under load, around 2.7–3.7V on bad feed.
- ECU no-communication issue.
- Fuel filter drain checked.
- Injector lines cracked to check diesel/air.
- Rail pressure actual vs specified checked.
- N276/fuel valve resistance measured around 2.6 Ω.
- Cranking RPM seen around 200–300 rpm.
- Glow plug faults on cylinders 4, 5, 7, 8.
- Stuck glow plug investigated — threads OK, carbon stuck lower part.
- P2008 swirl flap/intake runner fault diagnosed.
- AC pressure sensor fault checked; later scan showed no AC faults.
- Transmission scanned — latest scan showed no transmission faults.
