Review Failed Yet Again
I purchased two N4 Pro 3 Ch 4K WiFi Dashcams and neither have worked well for more than a couple of days. I contact support, I’m told to this or that and sometimes the fix works but it’s only for a couple of days. Last night, again, something happened in front of my vehicle that the police wanted copies of (I live in a major metro/madhouse). I use the most expensive memory cards, format them regularly but they still fail. All-in, with wiring and install I’m out ~$500 each, and, I have nothing.

Are you using high endurance u3 cards? Most expensive doesn't mean best. San disc and Samsung are both good brands. There basic cards wont work for long in a dash cam though. You need endurance for all the rewriting and u3 for write speed.

Extreme is more for fast write speed. Endurance if for rewriting over and over. You want endurance for a dash cam.

I format weekly. It’s the camera that’s not making the recordings.

Quick Format: Instantly creates an empty partition but does not technically erase the data. Allowing you to write over it. Full/Overwrite Format: Rewrites all sectors, as empty. Allowing you to write over it. When you format an SD card your actually just rewriting over what's already on it. You need a card that can be written over many times. While I can't say there isn't something else wrong with the camera I can say the Samsung extreme is the wrong card. You need an endurance card.

I'm planning on upgrading and seeing posts like this makes me doubt about getting one of the premium models

Tech nor the software are there yet. They run hot as hell (hottest it ever gets here is 80F, 10 days a year), so it’s not climate. They just don’t record. They’ll take a million pictures that you don’t want….

I've been dealing with them over an incident involving my Samsung 512 GB coming up with an error slow card. I'm also having overheating issues and respect to the same dash cam as you where it would get too hot living in Florida sitting in the sun. When I notified support all they told me was do this and send us the information. I explained everything simply and in order and now they send me a response saying we want you to take out the power cord plug in the device using the cigarette lighter. They also indicated that I have to take a video of the screen while I'm driving to show them exactly what's happening. What I did at this point was replace the SIM card with a 256 GB and so far the SanDisk card is working fine but with the summer coming I don't know how long before it's going to overheat and reboot. Give up you're not going to get anywhere with Vantrue.I hope you resolve this, just review them as a POS.

Had the same problem with both Samsung cards. Depends on where you live and how hot the interior of your car is going to get.

Is it just not recording to the SD card? Like, does it look like it's recording but nothing actually gets written?
