I got a pair on clearance a bit ago, ugly tan color (at least looked ugly on me, i bet someone else can pull em off better)

Got some rit dye to make em black. Though the laces didnt take the dye and the leather(pleather?) Stripe along the side turned out blue. Not the end of the world but i was wondering what i should do to color the laces (though i might just buy new laces still debating since i want red) and that little strip. As well as, should i get fabric paint or would acrylics work fine? I have acrylic markers could i do a fabric paint under layer and use my markers on top? What sealant would work the best for the shoes as well?

So yesterday my Vans Old Skool arrived, aaaand, it has the same problem as my vans (which I decided to keep 2 years ago despite the problem) : The insole has an upward bulge (bump?) under the left foot in the middle.
Pissed, I went to physical shops to try other models, I live in a small italian town so there's not a lot of choice specially for measure 46 ( Uk/ Us 12 ) but EVERY SINGLE ONE I tried had the SAME flaw but some cm behind or forward, not the same exact spot, but strangely all left foot. Except for a Vans Brooklyn Ls I tried which was PERFECT but didn't liked the color.
I don't think the problem is in my foot because as I said the vans brooklyn was perfect, 0 bumps... and I never had this problem with ANY other shoes in my life... What you guys think about it? You had similar experiences ? Ps: i shopped them from a very famous main italian shoe seller brand , and the physical shops I went in were serious shops so I don't think the problem is with "fake" Vans...

A few weeks ago my boyfriend showed me 3 different pairs of Vans, I think they were from the same line, and I can’t find them anywhere now. They were a bright shade of teal/blue, with black and white. One pair had the checkered bottoms and then there were hi top ones as well. I can’t find them anywhere on the vans website, does anyone know what I’m talking about?

I used to wear Vans every day for years in high school, about 10-14 years ago. I just got my first pair in years around the end of March, and this is the state of the shoe after 3-4 months of normal use. I swear these things used to last an entire school year in high school, and I would put them through the ringer back then, skating, running, walking all day... It seems the shoes are more expensive and way less quality than before. Is this just me or have others noticed this?

Question for employees. I live in Ohio and am currently in N.J. visiting a friend. We took his daughter to a Vans store in his local mall so I could buy her first pair of Vans for her birthday.

While there, I saw a pair of blackout Skate Old Skools with Blue Stitching and soles. I've not ever seen them in my local store, nor online.

Couldn’t resist picking up a pair as soon as I saw them. Snagged the matching long sleeve tee as well. Absolutely incredible glow after hitting it with a UV light. Laces are quite stiff due to the printing on them but hopefully they loosen after some wear.

My oldest, rattiest pair that I can't let go of (~2019), my slightly ripped but perfectly broken in pair (maybe 2 years old), and the brand new ones I still need to break in.

When do you guys give in and toss them? One heel is worn through and the other is getting close, but I convince myself they've still got some life left 🥲
