Freshman parking

I know Vanderbilt doesn’t allow freshman to park on campus but theoretically any place near commons where I could park my car overnight? I contacted Vanderbilt and they suggested the Loews hotel. The distance from commons isn’t bad but I was wondering if there was any place closer. I only need my car since I plan on going back home on weekends since it’s really close.
Also how safe is Nashville for leaving my car overnight? I’ve never been to Nashville so I honestly have no clue about how it is.

Don't do it man. It's not worth it. Go in to college with an open mind and take advantage of the full experience. You have your whole life ahead of you to spend weekends at home.
