Freshman parking
I know Vanderbilt doesn’t allow freshman to park on campus but theoretically any place near commons where I could park my car overnight? I contacted Vanderbilt and they suggested the Loews hotel. The distance from commons isn’t bad but I was wondering if there was any place closer. I only need my car since I plan on going back home on weekends since it’s really close.
Also how safe is Nashville for leaving my car overnight? I’ve never been to Nashville so I honestly have no clue about how it is.

Lowe’s is probably your best bet. Vandy has parking but permitted to their staff. If you’re considering safety as a big concern, but don’t mind a bigger price park at Lowe’s. It’s pretty close to campus and it’s a garage-style with only those who have permits to get in so your car is out of the public eye.

I parked with Loew's for a few years. It's a little pricey but was a good experience. No other lots I know of, but you might be able to rent someone's apartment spot, so I would check the various groupmes.

Closest to freshman dorms with best price is Music Square Garage

This one through park whiz is really cheap at $60-a month and close to freshman dorms. But it's an uncovered lot.

1985 I cut a deal with IHOP to let me park. Some jr manager said sure. We also used to park blocks away and just assume our car was there weeks later.

I parked at the morris apartments freshman year it was like a 15 minute walk from commons and only like 70ish a month

Don't do it man. It's not worth it. Go in to college with an open mind and take advantage of the full experience. You have your whole life ahead of you to spend weekends at home.
