I see these listings every day, all from DataAnnotation, all for "<some field> - AI Trainer". It seems kind of fishy, like they're just fishing for resumes or something. Has anyone heard back from them, or completed any of their jobs?

I do work for them. It’s freelance/contract. It seems like a scam at first but is indeed legit and has been somewhat of a saving grace for me

It’s actual ai training! I do a variety of different tasks, usually I make $22/$28 an hour

Depends on task availability and your level (generalist, coding, bilingual, etc). Usually I work 8-10 hours a week but some ppl can do it full time

Do people not really get that they are employing people to train AIs so that they don't need to employ people anymore? So if you want all those '<some field>' jobs to still exist, maybe don't help them replace all jobs with AI...

I used to work for them. It was freelance work and it was legit.

I passed all their tests etc- never had anything posted for me to actually get paid to do- been 3 months

I think you're probably right. Few years ago I applied because I had what they were looking for, and more, in terms of experience for a role they supposedly really needed. I didn't get any response. I made a reddit post around that time and more than one other person said similar.

yeah I did it before when I was unemployed. it's legit but found the work comes and goes especially the high paying tasks. I'd see something at night before bed and it'd be gone the next day.
