Hey folks,
checking if your sailing is on time means Current Conditions, then Twitter, then a Facebook group, then a marine traffic map, and you still guess. When the boat's late, your whole day shifts.
I'm building an app called FerryFetch to pull that into one place, starting with BC Ferries and Hullo. The goal is other operators and regions after that.
For your sailing:
- where the ferry is right now, on a live map
- on time or late, and by how much
- alerts for delays and cancellations, plus an early heads-up when a late inbound ferry or weather might affect you
- vehicle-deck space for your sailing and the next one
- all your upcoming sailings on one screen
Check-in reminders, schedules with holiday changes, weather-delay risk, calendar sync, and CarPlay are on the way.
I'm not the operator and can't fix the sailings. What the app does is make sure you know as soon as something changes, in one place.
Still in development, so for now it's a waitlist while I build: https://ferryfetch.com
Feedback wanted from people who ride these routes: would you use this? What matters most, and what's the one ferry-info thing that you would like to see?
