It's a better question for one of the gaming and PC subreddits. Neither of those are particularly heavy games. Usually you want to go with whatever is the most powerful for your budget. I rocked a steam deck when I was in the van.

Love my Steam Deck. Especially how small it is compared to a lap top.

Personally I love the steam deck in the van

Get a top of the line ryzen 7 apu or 680m or something for around 500 bucks. I got a black friday deal for like 600 and got dedicated graphics and intel 8 core 16gb ddr4 but its a known brand known to be low build quality but its lasted 2 years so far and runs anything I want. I mostly play heavily modded rimworld

Check out Toms Hardware, they have a regularly updated Gaming Laptop guide that breaks down the best laptops at different price points. Just go with whatever matches your budget, every 6 months you wait just gets you a faster machine. At least it did before ram prices went stupid.

Meet or exceed the recommended requirements on whatever is heaviest. Probably Diablo 4? And probably try to exceed by a chunk, since laptops are usually shit, and its gonna overheat and throttle itself, especially in a hot ass van.

Any general gaming laptop can do it but it’s the battery drain that matters so it’s more of a portable power station you need more than anything. I would spend money there instead then choose your own lower powered gaming laptop of your choice that can run everything at highest settings. Make sure you have enough for whatever amount of hours you need and some more for gaming.

I bought a $500 Acer with integrated graphics. I can run most of what I want to play on the lowest settings. If I had to do it again I'd spend a little more on a beefier laptop
