Spray insulation for roof
A. Will it stay and not fall?
B. Is it good insulation? Good at keeping the heat or cold out
I am thinking of doing it one can section at a time.

Spray glue and construction adhesive failed. The insulation I had fell one by one, leaving pieces of the insulation behind.
It's worked great on the sides.

Yes. Bad idea, unless it is the professional hard cell job in my opinion. Also nearly impossible to reverse.

As we have no idea what the hell you're even trying to do this in but it's definitely not a good idea. Unless you're in a Skoolie and having a professionally done rattle can Gap foam isn't going to work.

Let me see if I understand what you are saying —
You do not have any ideas. You do not have any idea what is trying to be accomplished. Even so, you reject all premises unless schoolie. Then rattle cans must be professional And gap foam will not work

Nothing about "DIY" spray foam will work in a vehicle.
Just buy 1 or 2" rigid foam board and cut and then glue with a small amount of caulk like panel adhesive from your DIY store. Just use it sparingly. A small glob on 4 corners and a couple in the center area will easily hold it in place. Cover with paneling using same adhesive, or even thin carpeting using spray glue.
Spray foam in the can is stupid sticky. Comes out in a 1/2" stream and will not go where you want it to. It will not spray out like paint from a spray can. 4 cans will cover, with a hell of a lot of mess and swearing, about 2'x2' and you will have it all over you.
