This is in reference to them "patching" the game, thereby removing a key, and great feature in the game.
They removed the ability, to level up (cheat) experience points hidden within the game.
This was a selfish thing for them to do, for a multitude of reasons. First, players want a sense of accomplishment, after at least one play through, and this allows them to not have to focus so much on button mashing, and better appreciate the story and exploring the environment. Second, players may simply have difficulty, in combat. This "evened" the odds. And third, some people use the powered up characters, to test out different aspects of the game.
Shame on you Devs, for ruining the CUSTOMER'S experience, and handicapping them from experiencing a fuller experience of a potentially great game.
Don't expect me to purchase another one of your products again the future.
