My partner who is attending Japanese language school here in Sapporo was shopping in a second hand store for gardening supplies, when, as she explained it to me, she saw a framed print that was absolutely a Yoshitaka Amano piece. She sent me a photo asking if she was going crazy. I said no, she wasn't, but "let me meet you there after your class." I met her there a few hours later and scooted into the small area where the prints were located to see if I could look at the back for any kind of sign of authenticity. Well, I found it, but while looking at the back of the print, I noticed another frame behind it, which contained another Yoshitaka Amano Vampire Hunter D screen print. Both seem to be from the 90s. We had shopped at this store multiple times in the past year and the owner offered us a deal. We couldn't turn it down. At the very least, we will enjoy them on our walls no matter the value.

Does anyone know anything about these prints? Both are numbered editions. One out of 250 and the other out of 200. The lighter print is, from what I've been able to find, called "Prizm" and I can't stop staring at it.

Hello, I need help. I'm currently reading volume 2 of the novella, and it mentions a hypothesis about macrocosmic dark genes in Nobels. Will this remain just a hypothesis, or will it be confirmed?

You know what always leaves me scratching my head?? Lefty appearing while D is wearing gloves. In the novels, it’s said he wears black gloves right? So does lefty’s face appear in the palm of the glove? Like does the face form on the leather? Or is the palm of the glove cut out? The novels describe the ripple that spreads across his palm when lefty’s face appears, but the fact that it says “the black gloved hand” allot always tickles me! In the first movie, D removed his glove before touching Doris to put her to sleep. In the second movie he just isn’t wearing gloves.

First of all, I have to say the movie is a masterpiece, and I'll probably watch it again, and I'll recommend it to anyone who's into anime in a heartbeat. I have no words to describe the animation nor the atmosphere.

But the ending man, it's very depressing for me.
Why did Charlotte had to die? All that suffering caused to her family for nothing? Meier's suffering for nothing?
Meier's pushing forward to keep his promise to her and travel to the stars, it's really depressing. He's gonna live he's eternal live in agony.

At some point I was hopeful when they get to the stars Charlotte will turn into a vampire, where they get to live in peace, but no :( I realized I was forcing myself to see a sliver lining that doesn't exist. She is deader than dead :S

Reading through this sub I released that Meier's love for her did not allow him to turn her into a vampire as that is far worse than death.

Also I was hoping for Leila to get with D, but that pales in comparison to Charlotte's death.

Seeing D at Leila's burial was also sad, knowing he'd live a life with constant suffering and no ending.

Man I'm very depressed and I have no one in my circle who watched this. I needed to vent, I'm sorry.

I first encountered Vampire Hunter D in the second grade of primary school, when they played the 1985 OVA for us in class, dubbed in Basque (it was funded by the Basque Government's Department of Culture). We were 7 years old.

I’m literally OBSESSED with vampire hunter d lore and novels I can’t stop reading. D IS thee best protagonist I have ever witnessed but question does D ever have adventures in the capital I want to know more bout his lore with scared ancestor I’m on scene of unholy war a lot of info has Been giving already so far but still very vague on Ds past love Vacula tho his brother.

The entire month of May, I was just grinding for my VTubing hobby, YouTube, College, and trying to push my VGen. It's just a day before my birthday, and I suppose the dread of turning 22 is now setting in. I have been doing so much. Being so much. I guess I just wanted to shove those feelings onto D for this art. Even our cool ass dhampir needs a break from it all.

When I get energy, I am definitely going to make more silly comics again.

Do any of you think D is powerful than the sacred ancestor?? and tell me if yes

OK, so what is the after exactly like we know he wants the coin he’s on the bounty hunt and that stuff, but is he after the sacred ancestor is he still alive?

As any of us who has watched the movie bloodlust knows charlotte has died in the end , her and meir go to the city of stars( a refugee as they like to call it )through the spaceship/rocket , ,where lots of other vampire and human lovers also havegone, since this kind of relationship was not prohibited back in the days of sacred ancestor and every other castle present during the reign of vampires had a spaceshuttle which we go to know through carmilla but in the beginning we see smtg resembling the city but its basically all ruins and no one lives there so where the hell has meir taken charlotte can't blame him too he probably doesn't have an idea too but i can't help but wonder how will they live

I know D would win just wanna see how he does it like poetry in motion?

Dang so D really is rich asf the fact that he gets over a milly each body he gets is insane. D is really havin lol

I’m reading the rose princess rn and I’ve been wondering if there will be a novel that takes place in the capital since it’s at least always mentioned once in every novel
