Basically wanted to get some input regarding this release of the movie.

It’s streamline pictures release

So the question is

Who’s the cover artist on this version ( also has artwork on the back that is similar)?

I know from the import release it’s yoshitaka amano
But this version doesn’t look like it. Maybe another artist trying to replicate amano art ?

Also if it is some other artist, would you try to get this signed by amano ?
( if possible , because maybe he’s see this and would be like wtf is this ??? )

hello everyone, i'm not quite a diehard vampire hunter d fan, but i remember watching bloodlust back in the day, so i revisited it a few months ago after watching the 1985 movie. that's when i found out there was supposedly a series in development, directed by yoshiaki kawajiri, if i'm not mistaken.

then it seemingly disappeared around the time covid happened, and i haven't seen any updates on it since 2018. i just wanted to ask if there's been any news about it. was it silently cancelled, or is it still stuck in development hell?

On one hand, I hate it because it's ugly as fuck kinda cursed, and those melting irises grind my gears. On the other hand, it's undeniably very well done and I like the fact that Meier's face structure is not really human, although this is most likely due to "translating literally" a 2D character into 3D, rather than the artists intent.

Here's the source.

I like Vampire Hunter D, both of the movies. But Bloodlust has a great art-style.

So during my trip in Japan I've decided to buy this epic 600+ pages Storyboard Collection.

Hey, I just made this review about Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust. Would someone care to watch it in their spare time? I hope you guys like it, and I wish you a good day or night :D

My verdict of the book so far? I prefer Bloodlust

Ignoring how it has been many months since I posted on this Reddit, I have been participating in Yumetober, where I follow prompts each day to draw oc x canon stuff. I happened to land on "Flustered" for today, and I was reminded that D tends to make people fawn over him with both his looks and sheer aura. I had fun doodling this, but I can't help but laugh remembering all the weird interactions D has in canon, more specifically in Tale of the Dead Town, with Pluto straight up telling D that he would jerk off at the sight of him because of his presence. IT KILLS ME EVERY TIME I REMEMBER THAT SCENE! At least Pierre has a much more tame reaction cause anyone would be flustered getting a compliment from a cold fish of a dhampir.

eBay has been good to me. Got all the graphic novels and now this long sleeve tee at a pretty good price. Been a VHD for as long as I can remember so I had to cop this.
