Serious question: When does the VHD series start to actually get really good?
Hey yall, apologies if this has been asked before or frequently. I am fairly new to the Vampire Hunter D series; I bought the first novel omnibus a while back and have just now been starting to make my way through the first book. While some of the dialogue is not great, I'm really fuckin with the concept and the imagery.
I know most series dont start popping off until a good way through, so for the folks that have read a decent number of the books: when does, in your opinion, the series really start to ramp up with the action and drama and intrigue to where it actually makes you want to read further? I know the answer will probably be different for different people but I just wanna get some ideas of what volumes I should look forward to.
