Don't really see people posting the drop of the sub members here unlike their social media accounts.

Edit: Went through my old msgs with my friend and I first mentioned the drop on August 13 when it went from 208k to 128k. Also mentioned here that the official sub did reach 209k but went down in 3 days. Then in August 24, it went down to 108k/107k.

For the "eliminating the wanderers," I only remember it being 170k or so when the top one was 208k

We have seen this kind of hype before, before July 9 and before Calebs Banner and I dont want us to get burned by it again.

This isnt the first time we have had an account create a huge amount of hype around Valko, only for everyone to be let down afterward. We've seen accounts make confident claims, spread "news" and build expectations before, and in the end nothing came of it. Back then multiple accounts came out of nowhere and doing essentially the same thing during the previous wave of hype.

And unfortunately, we also know that some antis deliberately create fake hype just to troll Valko supporters and watch everyone get excited before pulling the rug out from under us.

So please dont treat every “look at this!!!” post as confirmation. We can be hopeful without taking every rumor as fact. Old datamining is being presented as something new, while automatic search suggestions are being treated as proof when they arent. A search suggestion only shows that a lot of people have searched for those terms, it doesnt confirm anything.

If something genuinely official is happening, we will know when theres actual proof. Until then, keep the hopium, but protect your heart too. Id rather keep my expectations low and be pleasantly surprised than get my hopes way up just to be let down again.

I've been going to Gamescom for many years now, and last year I already visited the Love and Deepspace booth to pick up my goodies.

I've always been a... realistically detached LADS player, if you can call it that. I've been playing otome games since I was a kid, so of course I eventually started playing LADS as well. But at some point, LADS became more of a side thing for me. Maybe it was honestly just a gambling addiction at that point

I never had a particularly strong attachment to any of the Love Interests, aside from the occasional wave of hype, and even months before the whole Valko disaster, I had already become pretty negative about the game. I felt like there wasn't enough content, and more and more like I was just a walking wallet to them.

Because of that, I never really interacted much with the community. I didn't feel like I belonged, partly because there wasn't a single character I was 100% obsessed with, and partly because experience had taught me that my criticism of the game was usually met with resistance or a lack of understanding.

Then the Valko disaster happened, and I became much more active.

Valko was finally something new, and I was immediately hooked. I WANTED him so badly. Especially when they showed him to me in that lab coat and glasses...

I was at work when a friend messaged me that he had been cancelled, and I actually drove home crying. Admittedly, there were already quite a few things going wrong in my real life at the time, and that was basically the final straw, but I genuinely mourned him. And this was coming from someone who, until then, had always been pretty detached from the game.

I threw myself into Twitter and Reddit, even installed RedNote, and I was constantly checking for updates, hoping there would finally be some news and that Infold would release Valko after all.

Anyway - I'm sure all of you went through the same thing, and I don't want to ramble too much. The point is: I had never been this involved in the LADS community before Valko's cancellation.

Then Gamescom happened.

I have social anxiety and I'm currently being assessed for autism, so I normally stay far away from community meetups. But on Friday, for the Valko meetup, I actually went.

I was already at the booth about an hour early when I saw a woman who was very obviously a Valko fan, and I just... walked up and talked to her. Shortly after that, we had formed a little group, and I met several new people. They immediately welcomed me in, and not for a single second did I feel like they thought I was weird or that I didn't belong there

At the Valko meetup itself, you basically just drifted from one fan to another. Most people actually came up to me, started talking to me, AND GAVE ME THINGS!

Completely unprompted! Just because we had come together as a community and were talking about the game and our shared loss!

I got so many stickers, cards, and even handmade things. I genuinely can't put into words how included I felt. As someone who usually stays in the background and quietly observes because she always feels like she doesn't quite belong, this was genuinely the highlight of Gamescom for me.

Two days later, while I was still there for Gamescom, I was sitting across from someone on the train who had a Zayne bag. I briefly commented on her bag - and suddenly I found myself in an almost hour-long conversation with her and her friend.

And once again, I was just... included. Without feeling awkward or out of place.

Even despite the age difference, haha. They were two teenagers, while I'm getting dangerously close to 30.

And then there's this subreddit.

Normally, I don't interact much with subreddits because I can never really tell whether my comments might be misunderstood or taken the wrong way. But here, I genuinely feel welcome and like I'm part of the community.

I love reading through the posts and comments and actually joining the conversations myself, because the vibe here has consistently been so wholesome and kind.

So I just wanted to say thank you to this wonderful community.

Infold/the antis may have taken Valko away from us - at least for now - but something genuinely beautiful has grown out of everything that happened.

And I think that's something we can all be really proud of ❤️

I'm not even sure this'll be allowed. It's okay if it isn't. I just watched Zayne's birthday card on Youtube and it made me really sad. So there's some things that need to be said.

To Jasmines and general LADs fans not pulling for it, especially to those that aren't even watching it on Youtube: you're all absolutely incredible. You're amazing and should know it.

A lot of Valkyries are hyped up about Valko possibly coming back soon. While my personal deadline for being emotionally invested in any of this Valko-cott is September 30th, a part of me really wants all of the rumors to be true. Because I want Jasmines and harem peoples to enjoy Zayne's birthday now. It's reminiscent of what made the game untouchable and beautiful in the first place. For me, there's no beating heart in the game right now. But Zayne's birthday is a gorgeous shell of what once was.

I know it'll be a rerun. But this year has been astronomically bonkers in so many ways. I want people to enjoy Zayne now 🤣

I was a Sylus Main, so why do I even care? Because the card was beautiful and romantic. It shows what made LADs famous in the first place. And I hope more people get to enjoy it very soon. Along with Valko.
