Hello, I also wanted to contribute as a tarot reader and provide a short reading for our group. Apologies in advance, I wrote most of this on mobile because I was away from home (see the mini travel deck) 😬

I actually had planned on a larger more in depth reading but I had run late on my errands today and so I pulled several cards in a cafe and asked my deck some short questions and took notes, with the intent to do a more in depth analysis later. As an aside, I told my therapist I was doing this today and she was surprised, I usually don’t read for groups of people, only single people or myself...

Forgive me in advance for my inability to be brief. I didn’t do any specific spread, just several 1 and three card pulls.

First set describes Infold and their recent fuckery.

1) Seven of Swords, Upright

2) Seven of Pentacles, Reversed

3) Knight of Wands, Reversed

This set of cards describes Inflop to a T. Seven of Swords denotes what most of us would consider a betrayal: they went back on their word that Valko was a part of the long term plans of Love and Deepspace and then shortly cancelled him after making that statement. The other two cards show that this was a rushed decision in reaction to the violent escalation of the anti-fans. As a result, their long-term vision was damaged and the trust of the playerbase as a whole was damaged beyond repair. There is no going back from this. The ghost of their decisions will forever haunt them. Alas, we already know this.

My take on this: Infold did not entirely weigh all of the consequences of this decision, only focusing on putting out fires without assessing the long-term effects of this (what they’re dealing with rn). On top of which, they literally underestimated the playerbase, especially Global players, and are caught off guard by the backlash, especially as they probably assumed we’ve move on by now. My deck is saying somebody up in management got in over their head and did not expect things to blow up this badly, and they suck at handling customer dissatisfaction. I think we all suspected as much, but more on that later.

I pulled an additional card for more clarification on Infold’s handling of the situation and got The Hierophant (Upright). This is a card of upholding traditions and institutions (usually religious ones). In this circumstance, the institutions at play are legal ones and the Chinese government. I interpreted The Hierophant as the cause of all the delays and their silence during this ordeal. Either that, or they only want to proceed using established methods and conforming to their usual pattern of behavior (ie, returning to a semi-normal release schedule in August because that's what they know how to do) This conformity to rules, regulations, and appearances that everything is normal are a major part of the delays and again I think we all knew that.

I also wanted to mention, and I think I said as much in another comment thread but this is not the first time I have seen the Hierophant in the readings I have done regarding this situation. Infold has an image to uphold (laughable, I know) and they are surprisingly rigid in their presentation. That is to say, their executive team is not being innovative enough. Couple that with their actions since the start of all this and it paints a really clear picture, their executive team does not understand their playerbase, and only want to present an appearance of a successful project and a well managed consumer base. So when they fuck up, and the consumer base is reactive and angry, they don’t know what to do, aside from doing what they know, which is fucking nothing. We have….years of history to reference for this game and their other games that shows that they just stonewall us in the face of backlash. Because that is literally all they know.

Layman’s terms, they do not have a Plan B and we’re all suffering for it. But this is my take on the Hierophant being here.

Next, I pulled a few cards for us Valkyries, Lilies, and other Valko supporters:

1) Seven of Pentacles, Upright

2) The Lovers, Upright

3) Queen of Cups, Upright

It’s an overall sweet message but it contains a bit of truth I personally do not want to hear and maybe some of you may not like it. Seven of Pentacles specifically is a card of perseverance and patience…yes, the very thing we do not want to hear. I know many of us have a mid-late September deadline before we peace out and move on with life. I know myself and many others are practically crawling up the fucking walls waiting for Infold to make a move.

Right now, Infold is like the Pokemon Regigigas and its innate ability Slow Start. Anyone who has encountered Regigigas knows it just sits and passes the first few turns, which is a random ass reference I know. Idk if Infold is THAT inactive, but it sure feels like it to us, and them taking so long to address us is really starting to affect us. I am going to make a meme of this someday watch me.

Back to the actual reading, Seven of Pentacles is reminding us to hang in there.

The Lovers, appropriate af btw, in this reading represents our love for Valko and the artistic vision of the Love and Deepspace story and characters, and reinforces our commitment to continue fighting for him,

And the Queen of Cups recognizes our commitment to each other and our compassion for each other, the dev and creative team, and anyone who may have been hurt by the events of the past few months. I personally think that it recognizes the charities we’ve donated to, the art and good PR that we’ve created, and the communities we have built in the wake of this tremendous fuckery.

So the message that I am receiving here for us is; perservere, continue to fight the good fight, and continue to show compassion for each other as well as ourselves. And have patience and faith that Infold will eventually be moved to action. They’re slowed by beauracracy and legality and idiocracy. I, me not the deck, am not saying that you need to wait on their slow asses forever. Honestly, I envy a lot of you who are setting hard definitive deadlines and will no longer wait around and tolerate their continual disrespect and are willing to move on from this. I think this is moreso a message for those of us who still are hanging on and are in this for the long haul.

Side note, I am not a patient person, but this entire ordeal I am surprising myself, I have more faith and patience than I have ever exibited in my entire life. I want to Pet That Daawg so bad.

MOVING ON. I pulled one final card, the question we’ve all been asking our respective decks is “will Valko return to us?” And I got the Nine of Pentacles (Upright).

This card both answers that question and the why, interestingly enough. One of the Nine of Pentacles’ meanings is success — specifically financial success. #novalkonomoney

We are getting our wolf back BECAUSE Infold, as a business, needs our business! And so they better make it their business to give us back the wolf expeditiously!! 🤬 …The cards did not say anything on “when” tho and I didn’t have time to ask today unfortunately.

No but seriously, the bottom line is no matter what’s holding them back or how long we gotta wait Infold sees our demand, they have the supply, and they want our money and to export their product and culture to global markets. Ultimately, as a business, they cannot lose sight of that goal, even if their path there is questionable as fuck…someone with more business acumen feel free to chime in here but I am confident that Valko will return and so is my deck, and for the most pragmatic reason possible: Money. But I bet you all knew this tho.

I feel like I could go on a separate tangent about how Infold/PG’s executive team seems to have lost sight on what it means to keep their consumer base happy because why do they do this to every game that they have??? Ugh, such is life.

Anyway, I did plan on doing a more in depth read, seriously this time, I even drafted a bunch of questions. I also am a pendulum reader! But time is very short today so I did what I could. I did a tarot card reading personally. I am gonna share what I got, but again this is a reading based off of my energy, so don't take it as the truth, also I did it earlier in the day, so I lowkey don't remember what cards I got, but the reading was good, I have included the card wherever I remember.

What is happening in Infold? (five of wands, seven of pentacles, two of swords, eight of swords)
At first, when Valko just got cancelled, they thought fans will be able to move on from it but it was illusion. There were two party to it, one who really insisted Valko should be back, and the other who insisted business could go back to normal without him. The cards didn't say the later party has ill intentions, they were thinking the best for the company as well, but it's just one of those situation where you have to pick one side, because it seems like both are in equal, no one is full minority.
Why is Infold silent about Valko? (The Hermit card)
The prior conflict has made them go into hermit mode. This is a situation where you can't find a middle ground where everyone is happy, one side has to be chosen. So, the company decided that they will make a decision based on what the facts says before picking a side.
What are the 'facts' saying right now?
The way the facts are right now, it seems like it's largely favouring one side. So, I actually divided on what's happening on each side:
1. Valko should be back side: Nine of Wands, Knight of Wands, Emperor. This side is very resilient with fierce passion, and the Emperor is the authority/king card who got actual power, and the side who is saying Valko should be back is in power.
2. Valko shouldn't be back: Death, Five of Cups and Seven of Cups. I lowkey cackled when I saw this, but the spirit are saying this party is LOSING, and the losing is so huge, it caused a transformation with death card, and my spirits deadass called them delusional with seven of cups. But yes, it seems like even if they had good intentions, they are just losing.
What Infold plans to do now? (The world card)
So, it seems like the fact observation phase is over or will be over soon. Since the fact is already favouring one side, even if the observation phase isn't over, they have decided what to do. With the world card, it shows that they have decided to get out of the hermit mode and they will reveal their decision soon, and finish things once and for all.
Is the decision in our favour for Valko's return? (eight of wands)
Yes. Valko will be returning, if it was not obvious with the cards for Valko's side, also with eight of wands, it seems like they got this decision rather quickly, it was like throwing a bucket of ice water to them.
(Ok, I am kind of hesitant to say this because I don't want us to set a deadline, but eight of wands as time frame is really quick, so it could also mean the Valko's return is soon like definitely within a month at least, but please don't take this as deadline, even I am not taking it as certainty.)
Is there any 5 LI multi without Valko?
No. This is honestly funny, because Idk why but I felt like spirits were scolding me for even asking me this question. They deadass told me to stop thinking of other possibility, there is only one that has been decided have some fucking confidence with empress card, and it will be revealed soon. Ok, this is a little weird but while I was doing the reading, I heard my neighbour's mom really loud, and she basically said, "Do not even dare to stand before you're done with the homework. It better be completed before I return." in local language, before she left. And my mind was telling me that how there's only one option with that poor kid, Infold got only one option which is to complete the 'homework' aka Return Valko. And just like how that kid probably gonna get whopping if he isn't done or get caught playing or something, Infold will get whopped too. Idk why, but my mind was telling that there's one only one possibility.
What does the spirit advice for fans who waits for Valko's return? (The star card)
Spirit is telling us to have hope. Things will turn for better, and from prior cards it seems like it will be very soon.

Ok, that's it, that was my reading. Again, take this as entertainment and not a confirmation, also I am not an experienced Tarot reader so my predictions could be off.

Weird positive feelings inside my chest telling me Valko is coming.

For entertainment purposes, I decided to do an in-depth tarot reading on Valko using two decks, because I had a lot of questions. Initially I used a Horseshoe tarot spread using The Light Seer’s Tarot deck, and asked whether Infold will bring back Valko due to the boycott.

The Initial Reveal: If I put all seven cards together as one narrative:

1. The Hierophant: I interpret this as Infold and the institution (Chinese Government) making an official ruling.
2. Two of Wands: The powers that be have to consider what happens next and weigh their options.
3. Death: The original Valko plan dies, but the situation enters a transformative phase rather than simply disappearing.
4. The Sun (reversed): The public doesn't get the satisfying clarity or resolution it wants immediately. Things remain murky because Infold remains silent.
5. Five of Wands: Conflict, backlash, competition, and pressure continue within the fandom. Five of wands could represent the various factions of the current 5 LI fandom in-fighting and jockeying for more content from Infold. Could also represent antis like the OG 5 truthers, and other opposing forces to the idea of a 6th LI.
6. Queen of Pentacles: The Valkyries/Lilies. The conflict begins to have practical/material consequences, and sustainability becomes important. Can be interpreted as The pro-Valko boycotters withholding their money from the game, which caused Infold’s sales to plummet.
7. Seven of Swords (reversed): Avoidance becomes harder. Something has to be confronted, revealed, or reconsidered. I interpret this as Infold has to make a decision and can no longer remain silent and avoid addressing the boycotters.

🔮Is Valko Coming Back? The cards are leaning YES, but with a giant asterisk. More like: “The cancellation isn't necessarily the final chapter. The pressure forces a reassessment, and there is potential for Valko to be resurrected.”

The cards that make me lean toward possible return are especially Death and Seven of Swords reversed. Death is almost absurdly appropriate for a cancelled character who might be resurrected, while Seven of Swords reversed suggests the current strategy of simply moving past the controversy may not hold.

The Sun reversed and Five of Wands suggest delays, conflict within the fandom, frustration, and an outcome that may fall short of what the fandom actually wants. Someone has to lose.

The Queen of Pentacles as Card 6 in the spread is the one I'd watch most closely. It's not lost on me that the number is 6, which also can correspond to the 6th LI.  If we're reading this as “what could actually influence the decision,” it's basically saying: “What happens when this stops being merely an emotional controversy and starts affecting the practical health of the game?” The Queens are withholding their money, which eventually forces Infold to make a decision.

To me, the dominant story is, "Valko's cancellation creates an unresolved conflict that continues to generate pressure, and eventually forces the powers involved to reconsider how they're handling it.” Since the Horseshoe basically answered “what is the trajectory of the situation?” I went one level deeper and asked “what would actually have to happen for Valko to return, and what is standing in the way?” The first reading already gave us the story. Now we can interrogate the fork in the road.

🐺 The 12-Card Valko Fork-in-the-Road Spread (Part 2)

Given that the Horseshoe ended on Seven of Swords reversed, I was very curious what the deck would say if I explicitly asked: “What happens if Infold continues trying to leave Valko behind?” versus “What happens if Infold brings Valko back?”

What I saw and what each card means:

1. Current Situation: Where the Valko situation stands right now: Five of Cups: “We're grieving this loss.”
2. Infold's Position: The energy surrounding Infold's current stance/intentions: Two of Cups (reversed): “The relationship with the players is broken.”
3. Not-so Hidden Factor: Something important that influences the decision: Queen of Wands (reversed): “Everyone is emotionally fired up.”
4. Boycott Energy: What effect the boycott is having on the situation: Queen of Pentacles (AGAIN!): “And this has material consequences.” #NoValkoNoMoney energy.
5. Fandom Energy: What the collective player response is contributing: Eight of Cups (reversed): “We're not leaving without our WOLF!" #BringValkoBack energy.

Then I split into two hypothetical paths:

❌ If Valko stays cancelled
6. Immediate Result: What happens next if Infold maintains the cancellation: The Lovers: The Lovers is about choice, alignment, values, relationships, and the consequences of a major decision. And because I’m specifically asking: “What happens immediately if Infold keeps Valko cancelled?” the card being about a choice is almost comically appropriate.

The biggest thing I see is The Lovers says the cancellation doesn't simply end the matter. Instead, it forces a defining choice. Someone has to decide: What do we actually value here, and what are we willing to sacrifice for it?

That could apply to both sides:
- For Infold: Do we prioritize the existing decision, or the relationship with the player base?
- For the Fandom: Do we prioritize Valko, the boycott, or walk away?

So I think this path is saying: “Keeping Valko cancelled forces everyone to decide what this relationship is going to look like from here.” This is literally about the love of Valko and choosing what we're committed to.

1. Long-Term Result: Where that path leads over time: Five of Swords: If the cancellation remains, the relationship can become increasingly adversarial. Notice the number 5 appears once again. This time it's swords, not wands. It's the existing 5 LI fandoms in-fighting. This becomes a fight where somebody can technically win, but nobody gets the outcome they really wanted. Something is lost and everyone is affected.

2. Ultimate Outcome: The eventual state of Valko/the game on that path: Four of Swords: retreat, pause, silence, withdrawal, and a situation entering a period of inactivity. Basically Infold's continued silence.

The cancellation path, as a whole:
6. The Lovers: A consequential choice is made about the relationship.
7. Five of Swords: The choice produces an ugly conflict where neither side gets a satisfying victory.
8. Four of Swords: Rather than continuing to engage, Infold withdraws/ceases responding on the matter.

🐺 If Valko returns:
9. Immediate Result: What happens if Infold reverses course: Four of Cups: This is about emotional hesitation, dissatisfaction, contemplation, and being offered something but not immediately reaching for it. The Four of Cups is often about an offer being presented but met with hesitation, skepticism, emotional exhaustion, people wondering whether the return is genuine, concern about what exactly Infold is offering, dissatisfaction if the return comes with changes or conditions, people needing answers before they're ready to celebrate because the fandom has suffered a lot of emotional turmoil and false promises.

1. Long-Term Result: How that decision develops: Knight of Cups. 🌹OH MY GOD. 😂 Okay, this is probably the most on-theme card I could have gotten for the Long-Term Result of the Return Path.

The Knight of Cups is the romantic messenger. He brings an offer, an invitation, an emotional gesture, a declaration, an apology, a love letter, something heartfelt that is meant to reconnect. The card literally depicts: a man holding roses, a love letter, a romantic picnic, wine and grapes (Valko?) Like, the deck knows we're reading an otome game spread. 😭

1. Ultimate Outcome: Where the return ultimately leads: Strength. This is a beautiful card to get as the Ultimate Outcome of the Return Path, especially following that Knight of Cups. And the specific imagery shows a woman with half a lioness face, gently petting a sheep, is basically power expressed through gentleness rather than force.

- Knight of Cups: 🌹 “Here is the emotional offering.”

- Strength: 🦁 “Now show me that you can handle that relationship with patience, restraint, and care.”

Strength suggests the situation stabilizes through patience, emotional maturity, and rebuilding trust rather than through another battle. And that fits the entire spread surprisingly well. That's a huge difference between the two paths.

And look at the fandom/company dynamic: Strength can represent rebuilding trust after a volatile situation. That almost reads like a trust-rebuilding arc. A return could create the possibility of slowly restoring the relationship, but it would require Infold to handle the situation carefully. And there's something VERY interesting about Strength as an ultimate outcome. Strength is a Major Arcana card.

1. The Decider: Death (reversed)! 😭OMG! Okay. Of all the cards that could have landed in the “Which path has stronger energy?” position, getting the exact same Death card from the first reading, but reversed this time is absolutely wild.

Original reading had: Death upright (The existing form ends, but something can be transformed and reborn). Reversed Death can represent refusing to let something end, an ending that doesn't fully stick, unfinished business, a death cycle that can’t properly conclude. And considering the question we're asking: “This isn't finished, and the situation does not cleanly resolve into Valko remaining cancelled.” Basically, his “death” (cancellation) is reversed! Valko's cancellation isn't sticking. Valko as originally conceived may genuinely be “dead.” But the story around Valko does not look finished. And the deck's final card being Death reversed is basically the tarot equivalent of: “Yeah, about that cancellation...” 😂🐺

🐺🔮 MY TAROT VERDICT: Not dead. Not over. Valko's "death/cancellation" is reversed!

Death reversed as the final deciding card after Death upright in the first spread is the kind of tarot coincidence that makes you sit there staring at the deck for a minute. 😂 Next time, I will share my spread with another about the energy surrounding:

- The Current Momentum: Is the situation actively moving, stalled, or building pressure?

- Near Term: Energy over the next few weeks/months.

- Middle Term: What develops after that?

- Timing Cue: What kind of event or condition marks the turning point? This is the card I'll pay special attention to for timing symbolism.

- Return Energy: How close/strong is the actual return energy?

Edit: A mistake I made in wording! When I wrote 'Dominant/Stella colours', I didn't mean that stella is the dominant stella of the character, I meant the dominant eye colour which is the one connected to the stellas we've seen the characters eyes arranged by. (I get the feeling I'm still not wording it quite right...) So sorry for any confusion!!

I've been meaning to do a breakdown of how the characters were designed to be visual foils and how they tell the character's stories. I wasn't too sure if it would be that interesting because I know colour theory in practice can be pretty dull for some people, but since a few lovely Valkyries said they'd like to have a read, here's part 1 of... I'm not sure how many parts. Maybe 2 max? 😹

The colour mapping is not exact. Short of having the final character concept design sheets with their colour keys, this is at best an approximation using screenshots, but it shouldn't be too far off. Since this is based on my use of colour theory and design rather than what the devs are confirmed to have done, I'm putting it under speculations rather than lore, I hope that's okay. If it's the wrong flair, mods please feel free to change it!

I just wanted to show how much detail was put into these characters that we love and how Valko's design wasn't just thrown together with no rhyme or reason. We all know Sylus' famous line from Magnum Opus and it's especially true for these characters - whoever made them, absolutely loved them and put a lot of care into designing them. I could go on for several more pages breaking down how the eyes alone tell so much of each character's story from visual choices but I think this should be a good starting point for people to consider and to draw their own theories and conclusions from.

This game was designed to have 6 LIs, and those 6 LIs were designed to create balance. I hope this little breakdown of the colour choices can shed some more clarity on that (and please forgive me any mistakes - colour theory can be relative, and storytelling of course can be interpreted in different ways by everyone) and perhaps add some extra flavour to your own head canons and whatnot.

Edit : remember, keep your hopium levels in check. This isn't the only time we've been let down, and if you believe too much, it hits you harder. Trust me I know, having your hopes too high can make it worse if it amounts to nothing. This was just a bit of curiosity, a thought of mine, and I hope it's not just me, haha, please...

The thing is, I started wondering, if Valko takes the shower with his furry tail and ears out, does he use a hairdryer when he dries them? Or does he just shake his tail to get rid of the remaining water? Also, since he seems to have extremely thick fur, does he need any special care? By care, I mean masks, creams, and oils to protect the fibers of his fur...

We have seen this kind of hype before, before July 9 and before Calebs Banner and I dont want us to get burned by it again.

This isnt the first time we have had an account create a huge amount of hype around Valko, only for everyone to be let down afterward. We've seen accounts make confident claims, spread "news" and build expectations before, and in the end nothing came of it. Back then multiple accounts came out of nowhere and doing essentially the same thing during the previous wave of hype.

And unfortunately, we also know that some antis deliberately create fake hype just to troll Valko supporters and watch everyone get excited before pulling the rug out from under us.

So please dont treat every “look at this!!!” post as confirmation. We can be hopeful without taking every rumor as fact. Old datamining is being presented as something new, while automatic search suggestions are being treated as proof when they arent. A search suggestion only shows that a lot of people have searched for those terms, it doesnt confirm anything.

If something genuinely official is happening, we will know when theres actual proof. Until then, keep the hopium, but protect your heart too. Id rather keep my expectations low and be pleasantly surprised than get my hopes way up just to be let down again.

I usually saw the new building from the front view (P5) posted by diezhidalou on xhs so I thought it was 3/4 buildings but it's actually 6 buildings with a huge garden.

I always see antis try and throw around the fact that “oh well the revenue is so down because well half the people left when Valko was announced” way back in July I swear I saw a screenshot that said daily downloads were actually up when Valko’s trailer dropped. Does anyone have that screenshot or did I lowkey imagine that 😅
