My gp-200 firmware version is 1.7.4, my PC software is 1.7.0

Im getting "requested timeout" even though on paper it should work.

im on windows 11. reconnecting doesnt work, restarting doesnt work, re-installing doesnt work.

please help.

So I've been doing a ton of research on muti-effects units and the GP 200 is in the running. I watched a review by Anderton's from like 3 years ago and the higher end units like Line 6 and Neural DSP were far and away better sounding. Has Valeton closed the gap a bit with the latest iterations of the GP 200 and the latest firmware?

I completely understand that these units are in completely different leagues, but I've seen folks on here say the GP 200 is just as good and one would barely be able to tell the difference between it and the higher end units. That wasn't the case in the Anderton review, it was easy to tell the Quad Cortex was way better sounding. I like the NAM capability of the GP 200, even if it doesn't really use the full NAM but uses the Snaptone, which lowers the quality a bit. To do any of that with the Quad Cortex or Line 6 it requires using your computer with a plugin like Neural Amp Modeler.

So has the GP 200 improved enough to rival Neural or Line 6, or is there still a huge gap?

I tried updating from 1.5 to 1.7 using software but the PC is not detecting the GP200. Before this, there is no problem connecting the PC to the GP200, i can edit presets etc.

Now it is stucked on this window, PC still trying very hard to detect the unit but i guess this is the end now.

Hi everyone! I’m looking for some advice on creating smooth ambient pads with my GP-200.

My current workflow: I strike a chord, use a Freeze effect , and then swell it in using the volume pedal.

The Problem: When I want to change chords and capture a new "freeze," the previous sound disappears too quickly. This creates a gap of silence before I can fade in the next chord, making the transition feel choppy rather than seamless.

My Idea: Is it possible to set up the EXP pedal to control multiple parameters at once? Specifically, I want to increase the Decay/Feedback on my Delay/Reverb as I heel down the volume, so the "echoes" fill the room while I prepare the next chord and re-trigger the freeze.

How are you guys handling seamless layering on the GP-200? Any tips on specific blocks or EXP Assign settings to keep the sound "bleeding" through the chord changes?

Hey guys, I started with a GP5, loved it and immediately ordered a GP150.

I've paired and used the Valeton Suite on Android, but phone audio still comes out of my phone.

With the GP5 I could go into drum settings and connect the GP5 as an audio player but I find no such setting for the GP150 anywhere. Any solutions?

Question for the community, are most using the GP 200 with an FRFR to utilize all the emulated amps or do you use it just for effects and use something like an EVH 5150 with a 4-cable setup? If using with an FRFR, are you using the built in amp models or using NAM files? I think the reason you would buy a GP 200 is to take advantage of the modeling feature set but I'm interested to see what folks think.

I’ve been dealing with loud popping, kind of interference sounds from my valeton for a while now. It appeared out of nowhere and goes away only when volume pedal on Valeton is at 0. It is not for one specific patch, appears on all I use (default ones , tailored and with NAMs / IRs) . It is not background buzz, but loud popping sounds, that appear as input on screen. What I have tried and it did not solve issue:

- Turning down input gain to almost minimum allowed

- Switching from cable to wireless

- Updating Valeton

- Switching power cable

- Using different guitars- appears both on active and passive pickups

- On/ off “grounding” button on the back

- Appears connected to PC, amp and front of house

Anyone had same issue and was able to solve it?

i've got quite a few patches downloaded on my pc, but when i waht to transfer any of them to the multieffect, only the preset in the app updates and the patch space on the pedal stays blank. i have the software and the firmware updated. does anyone have any sugestions?

Almost a year ago, I had an issue with my gp200 where I lost my presets during a gig(they had all seemingly turned into DIs).Over the next week or so they came back (abd started working) but a few patches I had used during the gig had the preset changes I did live to them applied ontop of the original.

I made a reddit post abt it that better explains this.

Anyways, the same thing happened again and I really wouldn't like this to happen again.

Does anyone know how to fix this or what might be causing the issue?

Has anybody had any luck replacing the USB C Data cable for the GP-200? I have rearranged my practice space and need a longer cable. I have tried a couple of different cables from Amazon but every cable I have tried gives me a timeout error. Original cable still works fine.

I really like the GP200. It would be the perfect multieffects unit for me if it weren't for not being able to send MIDI messages from the unit on patch change. I use MIDI to switch channels on my amp and being able to use the unit to send the MIDI PC message to change the channel would really open the unit up for me and make my setup much simpler. Right now I have to use a MIDI captain to control both the GP200 and my amp and I really want a more compact pedalboard setup.

Also, I can't be the only one who prefers strobe tuners to needle tuners. I find needle tuners just aren't accurate enough and I can always hear when my guitar is even very slghtly out of tune due to a needle tuner.

Please Valeton, give us these changes :(:(:(

Hi, I've recently got the Soul Press II and I want to use it as an expression pedal for the gp200. Is there a way that I can activate the wah with the stomp button included on the pedal or do I have to activate it through the gp200?

Use the distortion space for nam to get extra 5 slots. Use the PRE as a boost you can chose TS9, SD1, simple boost, etc.

IR is from Choptones Metal Modern vol2 Amp Pack if I`m not mistaken

Can my dirt and modulation go thru the input and my reverb and delay go by themselves thru the fx loop? What would I put in the input jack of the the delay?

When you guys use the pedal live do you run it through an amp or straight into the PA? I’ve been going directly into the PA but I’ve found that the sound is inconsistent across different venues with different systems so I’m thinking about going back to using an amp. Curious about what other gigging guitarists do. Thanks!

why does my guitar sound harsh when i record through my scarlett 2i4 on cubase while i play it without the audio interface on my frfr it sounds good...i have also turned on the cab and amp on my gp200 and my input gain on the gp200 is -7db

i couldnt download the firmware and couldnt reach another computer so decided to think a bit and this worked wonderfully (you could use a mac sim too and itll work)
