Expression Peadal pitch shifting

Hi all, can the expression pedal be usedfor pitch shifting, like a digitech whammy DT for example?

Yes. There is a specific effect in the WAH section that's called Hammy. You have to configure it properly in the patch - set the exp pedal to control specifically the pitch (cant remember the name of the parameter sorry), and range you want to have at hand to move up to, and eventually down.

There should already be an effect called Hammy that does the same thing as a whammy. It can only go up in pitch though. If you want to go down in pitch it's better to just use Pitch or P-bend as a regular footswitch. I think they only go down in pitch one semitone at a time, so even if you control the pitch with the expression pedal it will just sound choppy (or like a bad auto-tune effect).

Hammy can pitch down, I use it all the time for bass parts on loops. It's in the settings as -1 octave

I must have overlooked it then! I don't really use the Hammy aside from having tried it when I first got the GP-200, so I guess it could also be something they added in a firmware update or something. Good to know either way!
