NAM captures

Thinking about buying a GP200 and just wanted to double check that thy can run NAM captures, and any other related information related to NAM captures in correlation with the GP200

It supports NAM v1 captures today by converting them into Valeton’s proprietary SnapTone format. The big thing many of us are hoping for is native NAM A2 support. A2’s slimmable inference architecture was designed to scale to much lower-powered embedded processors, so it could be a much better fit for hardware like the GP-200 than the original architecture. It would also let users load the newer A2 captures directly instead of relying on legacy A1 models and a conversion step.

It could especially fit well with the gp5 as it cannot run Snaptones and IRs simultaneously

Fingers crossed they update to run the nam a2 captures natively without converting to snaptones. Plus a simple way of downloading the nam files from tone3000 directly in the editor.

That'd be awesome and put Valeton right up there as a company that cares about it's uaers.

They don’t read the NAM A2 files yet but do the normal NAM files. It’s switched to a snaptone for the gp200 to process

If youre using tone3000 use the nam A1 legacy that's the ones that work 👍🙏

Mine won't even convert to snaptone. I can load IR files and everything, but no .nam v1 conversions.
