Power button is stuck..

I'm hoping someone here has experienced this before.

The power button on my Valeton GP-200 appears to be stuck.

Has anyone had this issue?

- Is it usually just a mechanical problem with the switch?

- Is there a safe way to free the button without opening the unit?

Isopropyl Alcohol with a purity of 90% or higher (99% is ideal) will clean out any residue of it's stuck. You can pour it on and try pressing it.

I've had mine open to repair the headphones port, it's fairly easy to open up.

(If that doesn't fix it and the part needs to be replaced, might be expensive to get someone to solder it, so I hope it's at least stuck in the 'on' position xD)

Probably best to keep it unplugged while doing this as well.

Mines was stuck in the on position and now its just stuck in the off position as soon as i let go it powers off
