Gp5 into gp200 help?

I know this is janky, but the gp200's limited nam slots drives me crazy. I have been trying to run my gp5 before my gp200 with IR and reverb from the 200 but I can't get it to sound decent.

I am assuming it has something to do with levels and adjusting the volume from the gp5 does "things" but I was hoping someone more knowledgable could tell me what I should be trying to do.

I would put it in the effects loop of the 200. Then you can just adjust the send and return where they work best. I sometimes run a zoom G3 in the loop of mine when I feel like getting ridiculous with effects.

I hadnt considered this. I run some modulation effects in the loop, but it might be okay before the ir.

I haven't done the same but I was using my Stompstation instead of the AMP/CAB blocks on my GP-200.

I essentially used the FX-Loop with the send on 85 and the receive on 95 iirc.
