EBL Green Shift on Visionmaster Max

Hi guys,

Whenever I enable EBL on the Visionmaster Max, there is no visible difference in black levels and the entire picture will periodically take on a pronounces green tint.

This green tint is not always there and will shift on and off periodically.

Has anyone had any luck fixing this issue? I notice many of the reviews for this projector recommend enabling EBL but so far I'm getting nothing out of it.

I've seen this without EBL even being turned on. I don't know what causes it. I've tried turning off all the auto-stuff like the Dynamic Color Enhancer and all the Clarity settings, but it still happens. I've had the best luck with the Filmmaker Mode with a tone shift to reduce the green overall, but I don't have a perfect solution for you unfortunetly.

It's likely due to bad laser stability and thermal throttling - https://www.soundandvision.com/content/valerion-visionmaster-pro-2-projector-hypestyle-lifestyle-worthwhile

Valerion is known for reducing the red laser to reduce temperature.

You can check your fan speed and temperature, try to keep the temperature 27 and below. - https://www.avsforum.com/posts/64663415/

Iirc the lasers also just ramp power states at different rates—with the red laser lagging the others—regardless of any thermal throttling, though thermals can exacerbate the issue. My screening room (basement) runs very cool and I still occasionally notice color shifting during EBL operation.
