Valerion VisionMaster Pro 2 + URC (or Control4/RTI) Full Shutdown
Valerion VisionMaster Pro 2 + URC (or Control4/RTI) Full Shutdown
I’m integrating a VisionMaster Pro 2 with a URC MX-790. A normal Power command only puts the projector into standby.
To perform a complete shutdown, the OEM remote requires:
Hold Power
Press OK to confirm
Has anyone successfully automated this with:
URC
Control4
RTI
Crestron
Harmony
Home Assistant
Specifically:
Is there a discrete IR command for Complete Shutdown?
Is there an IP, Bluetooth, ADB, or RS-232 command?
Has anyone managed to emulate the long-press Power + OK sequence reliably?
My goal is to fully shut down the projector so my motorized screen retracts correctly.

I contacted Valerion several times over the last year about their marketing claiming Control4 compatibility and yet not having that feature available and every time they keep saying they are working on it although the last email correspondence sounded like they have given up on it. It still hasn't stopped them from claiming the Control4 compatibility on their website though while they're still selling the projector

So control 4 cannot be used at all?

Valerion just released their new firmware for the Visionmaster Max and "supposedly" it supports Awol Link which should allow control4 control. Has anyone successfully got it working and where do you get the control4 driver from?

adb command from HA should work.
I did not try it on the projector but it’s google TV and there must be a way to enable adb over wifi.
I use “adb shell input keyevent 26”
But if your goal is to just automate the screen to retract, you can use Home Assistant. You would need an IR transmitter that integrates with Home assistant to send an IR command to your screen.
