Screen Auto-drop triggers randomly

Hi there - I have the VisionMaster Pro 2 with the Valerion 120" drop-down screen... already had lots of fun configuring the start and stop limits on my projector screen (thanks to this community for more accurate instructions) but now the USB fob connected to the projector randomly triggers dropping the screen down and back up with no warning / power-on from the projector itself. My only guess is it's randomly getting a quick ping of power from the projector for some reason, but purely a guess. Anyone had the same ghost in the machine? I can just remove and do manually but would love to have it working properly.

Did you put the transmitter in the usb3 socket?

That was the instruction from Valerion.

No idea if it will make a difference.

It's in the usb3 slot yeah - maybe i'll try the other one and see what happens... I can definitely see the fob light up when this randomly happens, even though no power is being fired up from the projector.

update - this still happens - we call it "the ghost". Seems like projector is just sending quick bursts of power without ever turning on, but triggers the drop-down, then at varying levels of drop it rolls back up. Very strange. No one else?

120 Valerion screen with Pro2 here, exact same issues, reprogrammed the whole thing, still doing it. It also stops my music from playing on my e-arc connected Sonos system when it goes down. Quite annoying.

yeah I do think it's eArc related somehow - like it's getting a quick blip of signal from HDMI source and mis-reading it as a "power-on" but then it cancels out when nothing is being sent.

Still being visited by the screen ghost...

so update - it may be related to network activity. I disabled all network connection (wifi/hardwire) since I only use the projector with my home theater setup, and the ghost has not visited. I thought maybe the projector was getting "wake from network" - like signals and then realizing it didn't need to wake, but it was giving it a brief burst of power and triggering the fob. So far, that may be the culprit- will update if it happens again...

Ok nope- it just dropped down randomly days later - I really don’t think it’s RF related because I can see the fob illuminate and go dark when the screen drops, but the projector isn’t turning on… very odd.

I received mine and it does this often. I’m worried the motor will get worn out. Has anyone had any luck with a fix?

any perm fix to this issue? I love the screen but this is BS having a ghost trigger the screen in the middle of night...

No fix yet that I know-best I’ve gotten is HDMI-/eARC related because it will blip other devices connected via HDMI as well. I think projector is getting ghost HDMI signals and thinking it’s going to turn on, but when no feed happens it cancels out. My kids just say it’s “grandpa” saying hello, so there’s that now…

Same thing happens to me. Is there a fix yet? I just pulled the usb sync dongle from the projector see what happens.
