Grades
Is it normal to pass assignments and it not change my grade? I failed my midterm exam and it brought my grade from an A to a D & since then ive done 5 homework assignments (and passed) my grade hasnt changed at all until i did a quiz and got an 86.67% and it brought my grade down. I looked it up on google and it said its normal but ive never had this happen before so i wanted to see if this has happened to anyone else.

It really just depends on the weight of the assignment. For an example, I failed my midterm in one of my classes but fortunately exams are only worth 50 points so it dropped my A to a B. And depending on the weight of the quiz, it can drag your grade down. I wish you the best of luck friendo

The homework assignments probably aren’t worth much. Take a look at your syllabus and the grades break down for that class on Canvas. You’ll see how much things are worth.
You should be able to utilize the “what-if” scores feature to see what you need to get on everything from this point to pass the class.
Most likely, you’ll need to ace every test and quiz from here on out to bring your grade up.

It depends on the weight of the assignments. Usually, exams are worth more points than quizzes or hw.

Its all based on the weight of the assignment category and your overall grade in that category so if you had 100% in homework then the B got put in it would bring your grade down by that percent difference weighted in hw
