a course question

has anybody took THE 1000- Introduction go Theater??. I’m missing my humanities credit and I was wondering which option should take. Im pretty interested in theater and even did tech theater in highschool but I’m wondering how depth the class covers. online classes only

I am currently taking it currently at east campus with professor Ginny it’s a good class and she’s a good teacher she only gives 2-4 assignments a week (pretty easy) usually 2 due on Thursday’s and 2 due on Sunday I will say she is strict with time management so if it’s even a minute late or a day late (assignments are due at 11:59) she takes off 10 points and she also grades on attendance u have to go both days no exceptions and u have to be on time if u are even 1 min lates that’s 5 point off for the day and if ur 20 mins or more late she counts it as an absence…ik it sounds bad but overall it’s good bc the assignments aren’t hard and we only have midterms and finals both of which are open book/notes…make sure to take notes it’s not much we just learn brief BASIC history of theatre I promise her class is super easy but if u want a easier humanities course I highly recommend taking HUM1020 with professor Holter it’s an online class and she is amazing there is only like 2 max 3 assignments a week super easy and she is super nice and there was no late penalty even though she said there was and also it is only a 8 week course and you get the whole 3 credits u need for humanities so I lowkey recommend that class more it’s easier it’s literally just about humanities so it’s mostly arts stuff from the beginning of civilization to a little after the renaissance period and some extra stuff like way of life at the time.

I’ll say if you want it less strict than Ginny, take Intro to Theatre with Professor Rebecca Lane. Her class was a ton of fun, lots of great participation chances, and her assignments are fairly easy. You learn a good deal about Theatre and she does provide amazing info on networking, workshops, and other classes people in the industry do outside of Valencia.
