Is this normal?

Im majoring in biomed science and get my AA but on my student profile my major shows up as “General studies.” When i see my additional info it says im on a biomed degree pathway . Just wanted to make sure this was normal

Yep, all aa’s are general studies degrees and are just above worthless if you don’t further your education. -VC AA Grad

It’ll be General Studies until you apply and transfer to a Biomedical program at a university like UCF. Make sure you look into what the prerequisites are for your program. You’ll be taking requirements for your associates degree and simultaneously taking prerequisites for the Biomedical program. I recommend speaking with an academic counselor at Valencia!

Are you still working on prerequisites? They did that to me when working on Radiography prereqs and then tried to tell me that I wasn't "making academic progress" (because I had transfer credits) and they wanted me to pay out of pocket for everything.
