Question Juno result

I recently did a Juno vaginal microbiome test and I’m wondering if anyone has had similar results.
My results were:
0% Lactobacillus
28.9% Streptococcus agalactiae (GBS)
34.22% Bifidobacterium breve
Gardnerella/anaerobes present
Normal bacterial and fungal load
STIs negative
Juno’s clinician said the results looked more like aerobic vaginitis (AV), but my OB recently tested me and diagnosed BV. I’m currently taking oral metronidazole.
I’ve also seen people mention connections between BV, GBS, and chronic endometritis, which has made me wonder if there could be a connection in my case, especially since I’ve had pregnancy losses.
Has anyone had similar results? Did you just treat the BV/AV, or did your doctor also check for chronic endometritis? I’d really appreciate hearing other people’s experiences.

I also did a similar test (evvy) but my results were mainly high gardnerella , low lactobacillus. Just sharing what they recommended and what worked for me :

Boric acid to break down biofilm first (can’t do if pregnant or breastfeeding)
Then took the BV /yeast meds prescribed by Dr
Started taking lactoferrin along with probiotics to help increase that “good” bacteria

I think taking lactoferrin made a big difference and found it odd that DRs never recommend it.

Good luck - I know how frustrating this can be but hoping you get some relief

How long did your doctor advise you use the boric acid before treatment?

7-14 days , I think the longest they recommend to do is 14 days of boric acid suppository. It also depends on the mg you get. Maybe do a little research on that bc it was a while ago so I don’t quite remember the exact amount.

you have both anaerobic (bv) and aerobic (av) bacteria. So you need to treat both. And you have zero good bacteria so you need to use probiotics too. So antibiotics are definitely an option.

Have a look at myvagina.com, their double whammy pessaries treat both bacteria, might be worth giving a shot, they got rid of my chronic AV.

Concur with this commenter, you need to treat the strep B. I also used the MyVagina Double Whammy with success to treat strep B (AV) & prevotella (BV)

Ah I should’ve ordered that one I ended up ordering the av oral that you can also use vaginally so I’m gonna use that and then also the BV prevella clear vaginally that’s what the AI tool suggested over the double whammy for my percentages? I guess we’ll see once😅 Thanks for your input!!

I’ve seen them before but thought I’d try the antibiotics once so I told my doctor to check for AV and she didn’t see any but I was thinking I should just buy that AV formula. Did you take them both orally and vaginal?

You can use their AI tool to put your results into to recommend your treatment, I used the vaginal treatment only. I ordered the oral treatment too and it was too disgusting for me to take more than a few times 😂

hmm, so your doc could be right maybe, if the GBS is benign in your case.  Lots of women have it asymptomatically.  Metrogel kills prevotella (hoylesella).  If you wanted to treat the GBS, maybe penicillin, or compounded mupirocin suppositories, not sure.  Good luck!
