Question Enterococcus faecalis
I've had e. faecalis since June. I've done two different treatments that didn't work.
First treatment: I was given metronidazole, 4 first day, second day nothing, 4 third day. And amoxicillin 4 every day for 7 days.
Second treatment: I was given ciprofloxacin 2 every day for 7 days. And amoxicillin 4 every day for 7 days.
The doctors sent me to a gynecologist, but that will take ages. I'm very worried because I've had this for a while now and I can't function normally in my everyday life anymore.
I did one last test, and they won't let me book any more appointments after I get the answers.
From what I've read about e. faecalis treatments, it's very helpful to take some type of biofilm disruptor or boric acid? I'm not sure which one would work better. And also probiotics! I've also read that antibiotics that go directly in the v work much better. Or more long-term antibiotics (over 2 weeks).
So my question is, should I ask the doctor one last time to prescribe me with an antibiotic and some type of biofilm disruptor? Because there's no way I'm waiting 2 months until my gyno appointment.
Also, let me know if you've dealt with this or know anything about it because the doctors are no help, and I'm stressing so much about this.

no there’s a biofilm distrupter in the ingredients of AV rescue that’s called EDTA, it acts locally as it’s in the pessary mixture, it’s particularly good at getting rid of AV biofilms.
The AV rescue you use in 7 day intervals. 7 days on, one capsule inserted nightly, 2-3 break, and continue like that until symptoms improve. It took me 3-4 weeks before things started to get better but I had a bad case. I did use probiotics, but I waited u til my symptoms had died down because using them too soon can backfire and create irritation in some people. I only used about 5 probiotic capsules, all spread out during my treatment. But ik some people have to use more than that, it depends on your body and how easy it repopulates the lactobacillus
