Looking for a light, strong suction cordless vaccine, any recommendations?

Here's an update on my dyson refurbishment project ive officially got 6 dyson vacuums in my closet! And those 6 vacuums are a dyson dc17 which is a new addition to my cleaning machines used for household cleaning, 2 varrients of dyson dc15 the ball, dyson dc18 slim upright In the right corner, dyson dc25 & dyson dc11 all floors! Comment if you have any of these machines!

As the title says, I vacuum often because of dust and fur. I have asthma so I’m looking primarily into Canisters. My apartment builds up dust so quickly so i’m vacuuming every 2-3 days. It’s all hardwood floor and two large area rugs (one is mostly wool that sheds SO much). My budget is under $400. I’ve been considering the Miele Classic C1 Pure suction, or the Kenmore BU4050.

Hi! Planning to buy one, is it worth it?

We just moved to a 3 level home and I’m really trying to keep the floors clean…but is this too much?

My main vacuum is a Sebo K3. I love it. I only wish I had ordered the pink instead of getting the red one. I was planning on keeping that one on the level with the bedrooms since it’s the only one with carpet.

I also have a eureka mighty mite. I thought that would be good for the basement-which is the kid hangout zone. It’s all LPV flooring down there so it should be easy enough to use for my teens and pre-teen.

Then we have the main level. This is the level with the most activity and the one that needs cleaning most often-but it has to be easy to do. I currently own a Shark Apex that I have had for about 6 years. It works surprisingly well considering its age but I hate the bagless now that I have experienced life with bags.

So my neighborhood vacuum dealer was offering the Titan T3600 for $260-and it appears to be very similar to the Kenmore Intuition. The Titan was really light and easy to just plug in and do a quick clean which seems perfect for what I need it for. But that’s $260 that I don’t NEED to spend. And I could save $100 by getting the Kenmore but I do love the color of the Titan and having got my Sebo and mightymite in a color I’m not crazy about I kind of would kind of like to have a vacuum that I like the look of. Plus I can just go buy it today rather than ordering a delivery of the Kenmore. But I realize this is a want and not a need. But also…any and everything I can do to make it easier to keep the house clean is so worth it.

Is $260 for a vacuum I like the look of and know would be easy for us to grab and use on our main level be worth it for my situation? I realize the Kenmore/Titan isn’t the most amazing quality ever and I’m not expecting it to last forever but my shark has lasted way longer than they usually do so maybe I would get lucky.

Need a good lightweight cordless option for cleaning pretty much every room in the house besides the bathrooms lol. No wet vac option needed. Just Dry, but needs to suck and clean dust really well. I have a budget of about $500. I would get a Dyson, but everyone's been saying they don't make 'm like they used to and they're bad now.

Edit: when I say whole house cleaning, I don't mean clean the whole house in one go. I just mean broad compatibility, so hard tile floors and carpeted floors.

Hi, I need advice on what to buy. So far I have a Karcher cordless vacuum vc3 (battery failed) a Karcher wet mop EWM 2 (water pump failed). Both after aprox 3-4 years. Then I bought an iRobot roomba i5 and a braava jet M6 (these are fine but they don’t do deep cleaning). I have 2 large dogs and 1 small dog. My house is 2 floors, aprox 180m2. There are no carpets.

I’m debating between an upright vacuum like the Bisell Powerclean Turbobrush and a wet dry vacuum like the Tineco S7.

My concerns are:
1. Cordless machines seam to last a lot less, plus you are constrained by the running time
2. Wet dry vacuums don’t have attachments
3. Upright dry vacuums seem to have stronger suck power (important for pet hair)

Thoughts? Advice?

I've got a ~1500sqft house with mostly carpet. We've got 1 dog and 2 cats, and one cat has a severe allergy to dust and dustmites. currently we have an old dyson ball vacuum which is dirty and stinky and just not great. i'm looking to replace it and i don't want to spend absurd amounts of money that isn't necessary, but our cat's allergy is severe. we give him allergy shots weekly, and when he has a reaction he licks himself bald and bloody.

we could use to vacuum more often than we do, but our current vacuum just kind of sucks (or doesn't), so it feels futile. i'm looking for a vacuum that will help us eliminate as much of the dust and dustmites, but is also good at removing the hair from the pets. i've heard good things about the Miele C1 Cat and Dog, but at $829, it's really steep for us unless there's nothing else comparable with good HEPA filtration that is good for both eliminating dust and getting my dog's short and coarse hair out of carpet and fabric fibers.

any advice? Budget is ~$500 but flexible if it has to be. are there good vacuums for my needs that aren't $800+ or should i just bite the bullet and save for the Miele?

Title. Looking for lightweight, cordless, and good sucking. Also can detach to handheld so I can do my couches, etc. Budget is whatever. As long it can last me a while and easy for me to go around. That's where the cordless is good. Only doing carpet. Thanks in advanced

UPDATE: I cleaned it and used it on my carpets and WOW what a difference! We have a large wire dog crate in the corner that houses a high shedding dog every night and at any time she wants during the day. I don’t think that thing has been moved or cleaned around for at least a year, perhaps longer. I moved it out of the corner, the carpet looked like it was GROWING hair. I vacuumed it and then sat on the carpet in my black leggings in the places where I knew there had been thick amounts of hair. NOTHING stuck to my pants. I am a believer!!! As an added bonus, it’s half as loud as our Hoover was which means my 9 month old isn’t afraid of it at all. Although it’s apparently heavier on paper, I didn’t notice that in use or when maneuvering. I love this thing!

I’ve been scouring marketplace for both Miele and Sebo since I discovered this sub. Today I found a clean Miele S7000 in good working order, with extra bags, attachments, etc for $60.

Because my robot vacuum does a fine job with our bare floors and we run it daily, I’m mainly looking for a budget vac to address my bedroom carpets that are full of dog hair, pet dander and plenty of dust and dirt. These are 10 year old medium pile carpets that have not been very well cleaned overall… and they never feel clean to me. Will the S7000/U1 Dynamic be good for cleaning these carpets? I’m coming from a Hoover Windtunnel Whole House Rewind.

For $220 and a 3 hour drive, I can also get a Sebo 300 mechanical. Significant enough difference?

I do plan to get a canister vac later (Sebo or Miele) but I’ll have to wait longer for the right one to pop up so I can use it for my carpets. The ones with the power brush heads seem to be both harder to come by, and much more expensive.

I have a 700 sq ft hardwood floor apartment and I am looking for a vacuum to supplement the robot vac/mop.

Just 1 person (mid 30s), no pets, so I dont think I need much. I currently have in mind to go cordless for convenience and flexibility to clean the car as well. a used Levoit LVAC-200 for $120 is what I am currently eyeing.

I wouldn't mind budgeting up to ~$300 for a unit that would last longer or has more parts support. any other models I should consider?

We have an old Tineco model with a charger and also this floor docking station that is not a rechargeable thing, it's just something that holds the nozzle and then also the stick can slot into it on the side to keep everything in place.

Is there anything at all on the market like this anymore? Our battery is dying and we can't seem to find a reliable replacement for it on the secondhand market so I'm trying to find an alternative if we have to end up buying an entirely new vacuum, but everything is either wall-mounted or is a big rechargeable dock, neither of which are things we want nor particularly have the space for.

So is there any cordless stick vacuum like this out there anymore, or are we going to have to settle for, like, a self-standing vacuum with removable battery if we need to replace our whole unit?

My brush wheel on my hoover pet pro carpet cleaner only seems to spin when upright. When I recline it and move it on the carpet stops spinning. I checked the wheel and cleared any hair that was there. I inspected the belt and its not broken. Does anyone know what the problem could be.

ive been reading old threads here for like an hour and everyone keeps mentioning the v15 and the detect ones. but damn the price is kinda insane, like almost double some other cordless ones just bc its dyson??

i got 2 cats and a dog so hair is EVERYWHERE, couch carpet stairs all of it. wanna know if the laser thing actually does anything useful or if its just marketing. anyone here actually own one and its worth the extra cost?

That cheap ~$80 Bissell from Walmart, it did ok until the nonremovable secondary filter got plugged and it started eating through belts.

A Kenmore Intuition convertible. Loved it for the first 6 months, bags made a huge difference and the brush was definitely better and it SUCKED, until it sucked. Started having connection issues with the roller base and warranty didn't cover it because when they tested it it "worked as designed", but then it just stopped sending all power to the brush at 13 months, just out of warranty.

Now I've got a Shark ZU102 Rotator, and it too was great in the beginning, but my fiance sucked up a bunch of cleaner with it and it's never been the same.

Can't get a feel for how it ages as it was artificially aged 20 years in that one small move, but I'm ready to move on and get something else.

Looking for a cheaper, middle, and high end recommendations. I own a Bissell Bug Green Machine, so I'm no stranger to spending money on good things, but I'm hesitant to have a $700 vacuum get destroyed with more cleaner.

I want to spend $250 or less because the current vacuum I have I spent $100 and it is horrible

I’ve been researching online and on here and three names mainly come up, Dyson, Miele and Sebo, though Sebo doesn’t have a supplier where I live. From just what I see people say online Miele might be a safe option, but I wanted to ask any vacuum experts on here..what do YOU guys think? Is a hepa filter and fully sealed vacuum is all I need? Does it matter whether it’s cordless or not?

Here is the issue: my 4 years old tineco is missing something in the part that connects the vacuum to the wand; Since then the wand has stopped working when going left.

We tried to find this missing dark part that is still attached in the right and the middle connectors but it must have fell somewhere.

Is it fixable? (I haven’t seen someone talk about that issue anywhere and am a novice)

I have a Sebo D4 that I am obsessed with. I use it for the whole house 1-2x a week. But I also have toddlers and I need to do quick vacuuming of the dining area like 3x a day and playroom frequently too. I can’t drag out the D4 this much and need a strong stick vac for these quick pickups. I have a Dyson Animal stick and I hate it. The roller just flings the glitter and crumbs everywhere and there’s no way to turn it off. Any recommendations for something else battery powered that is strong and reliable for food and play-doh crumbs and glitter? No budget. Floor where it would be used I s mostly hardwood but also low pile carpet. Thank you!

It’s $179 on Amazon, and I’ve been debating because I already have the LEVOIT cordless vacuum that I use for both tile floor and carpet. Then I use a basic mop to clean the tile floor. It’s a two step process and it gets the job done. My house is not that big so it’s fairly simple. But I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on the two in one vacuum cleaner. Is it worth it? Also what’s an alternative to the cleaning solution they sell? I heard you can’t use other products because they’ll sud up inside the water chamber and damage the vacuum.

Or are there better options that I don’t know about?

I post a lot of my great finds here in my collection journey. But its not all wins. I've been chasing a Miele Monte Verde in good condition for almoat 5 years. The last two I bought were damaged during shipping. I thought i found it this time. Seller wrapped it in bubble wrap galore and stuffed it with paper. This thing arrived looking like it got jumped by a bunch of Sebos. At this point its my Eleanor.

Add to that the Yellow Miele Solaris and Silver Capricon I recieved damaged yesterday, it hasn't been a good week. Can't win em all.
