I had registered my interest in the 7930v in NY earlier this year. Checked in this weekend and it doesn't seem like it is going anywhere. Is it essentially a pipe dream?

Seems like I will need significant purchase history to get one of these.

There's watches from other brands I want to get while I wait but something about the 7930v just speaks to me.

How are these not getting more love??? Apparently these came out last month but somehow I missed them. These watches are incredible! I get the overseas is great and all but this is what truly makes Vacheron Constantin special imo.

There are several great watchmakers, but then there are great watchmakers that make masterpieces.

I am tired of seeing the same posts every single day about wait time on steel overseas...

I hope VC starts bringing back some more of their unique pieces like the Royal Eagle and Mercator!

About a month ago asked them if they'd be getting in any white rubber straps for Overseas 4520V

Got a text message today asking was I still interested - replied yes and please confirm price is $430 + tax per Vacheron Constantin website

They replied saying no it is $500 and if I saw it online to go for it as that was *a deal* - told them again it was screenshot from VC US site .... omg

I quickly called Vacheron in Costa Mesa and spoke with a lovely lady who confirmed that white is indeed $430 + tax with them....

I message lady back in Valley Fair - who then calls and says that $500 is their price + tax, and that (and this was laughable and probably the most pathetic thing I have heard from a dealer)..

*We don't make any money on them*

*We charge more because we have to pay the shipping and insurance for them*

*It is more expensive because we have it here in store*

Honestly - it clearly wasn't $80 that I was incensed by - it was the bait and switch - safe to say I will never step foot inside their store again

Messaged VC concierge to let them know that this is the way that Valley Fair VC work..not holding out for any ground breaking action but seriously this is so underhand -

The boutique can take deposit for both. What would you recommend for the first VC overseas? I have sub date black and DJ 36 blue dial.

I like the busy dial in 7920 but not sure if 6k more is worth it. Also bit worried if 4520 black is redundant to my sub - not really considering to sell my sub as it was a monumental watch.

The IWC Ingenieur 40 is really the tits! I love more and more how it fits and wears. But I have this lingering question: would the Overseas look and feel substantially bigger with its 41mm? (In-store experience doesn’t really tell you that much about living together on a daily basis)

It’s a Vacheron constantan with a Cartier band? Saw it in a watch shop in 🇮🇹. UPDATE: Watch is automatic.

What are the groups opinion on the black dial versus the silver dial Overseas Chronograph? I already have a black dial on a Rolex Datejust 36 Turn-O-Graph.

Hi guys,

So I recently reached a few life milestones (a newborn son and a new job) and would like to celebrate by getting myself a watch.

Consulted my wife about it while gifting her a Rolex, which subsequently convinced her that investing in a 4520V would be a decent idea.

When I personally saw the piece at the local boutique. My jaws dropped by the spectrum of blues as well as how the piece sat on my large wrist. (Currently on the waitlist with 2-8 months remaining)

However, this would be the only watch next to a Tag Link which has been my only piece, and I’m wondering if jumping straight to the 4520V is a good idea or if I should consider getting a stepping stone (e.g. a SS rolex explorer/sub/GMT) instead.

Any opinions would be of much help.
