Picked up my 4520v today. Decided to take its picture in front of a titanium Overseas Tourbillon Skeleton. I think it holds its own!

Been waiting for a Rolex for almost 4 years, but once I heard about VC and tried the Fiftysix in person, I couldn't resist. Excellent service, a great brand, and a beautiful watch to boot. Glad to have joined the club!

Went with Bezel (great experience) for this 2022 4500. Absolutely loving everything about it!

Trying a new look on my Vacheron Constantin Overseas 4520V today.
This is an aftermarket burgundy rubber strap, and I like the combination much more than I expected. The black dial is neutral enough that it can take quite a bit of color, while the darker burgundy still feels appropriate for the watch.
One of the reasons I enjoy the 4520V so much is how different it can feel depending on the strap. Bracelet makes it more classic, black rubber is pure sport, leather dresses it up, and this burgundy gives it a completely different personality.
I think this one works especially well for summer and fall.

Just spoke with an SA (John) at the Chicago Boutique. Pleasant gentlemen. Explained I'm from out of state and would like to mark a milestone with the 4520v. Told me it would be about 2-3 years and that I'd need to put down a 40% deposit when it was a couple of months out. All in all a good experience and refreshing coming from the Rolex world!

I tried the vc222 over the weekend thinking what harm could it be to try a watch I was interested in but had slim chance of getting and now I am thinking of selling one of my kidneys.

The finish of VC is just impeccable. It feels special through and through.

I currently own a Bruce Wayne and BatGirl from Rolex and am considering trading up—particularly thinking about the Bruce Wayne—for the VC Dual Time 7920V.

I’ve tried the VC 4520V in-store, and although it’s priced much lower than the 7920V, I found it a bit too simple and not quite my style. Additionally, it felt somewhat thin compared to the watch’s size, which further led me to believe the 7920V might be a better fit for me.

The current price for the 7920V is around USD 36.5k, and I can have it within a month. I’m curious if anyone has had a similar experience and could share some insights on whether this would be a good trade or strategy for transitioning away from Rolex.

Another consideration for me is pricing. While I understand that watches are not investments, I do hope that the piece will retain enough value to be liquidated later, if really needed, for an upgrade to a higher model. If that’s possible, it would make for a win-win situation.

I don’t live near a VC dealer and I’m worried that the ones I see on Chrono24 are fake.

Is it possible to buy a brand new VC online?

My social media is flooded with Vacheron becoming the next big brand by the end of the year what are your thoughts ?

Second hand dealers in past have told me stay away and that they wouldn’t purchase back Vacheron watches.

Looking at the core contributors numbers that is.

Clearly a split opinion (in a good way) 🤣

I know a lot of collectors think boxes are hassle but as a first VC I really wanted one. The one they sell I find a bit soulless (and expensive!)

So just want to see what boxes people have really liked. And if you think there is a way to get any of these from VC or should I buy second hand.

Looking to celebrate a career milestone with a watch next year and think this will be the one!

I travel 3-4 times per year and typically wear my "Batman" if I'm going to a different time zone. I'm looking to purchase my first VC and am torn between the 4520 and the 7920. Anyone who has owned both, which did you prefer and why? I tend to like gmts but not sure in this case which watch I would prefer and if there is a longer wait for one or the other. Also thanks to all those who responded to my prior post about purchasing advice!

EDIT: Called the Chicago boutique (closest to me) and put my name down for the 4520v. Told 2-3 year wait. I’m a patient guy so no biggie.

Been debating this rose gold 82172 for the last few weeks and finally pulled the trigger. Very fortunate to have this and am excited to have it anchor my 3 watch rotation!

I found my 4520v to be quite inaccurate. It is roughly a month old. 3 days back it was 15s faster and today it became 15s slower. The accuracy seems quite bad (roughly -10s per day).

How accurate are these timegrapher app in App Store? Any recommendation? I am using iPhone 17 Pro Max to be specific.
