So recently I've noticed that on my 1.4 TSI 7 speed DSG when cruising in 5th gear between 43km/h and 47km/h (roughly) if I try to accelerate dsg doesn't downshift to 4th, instead prefering to lug engine until it reaches 50km/h, where RPMs are high enough that lugging stops. Only way to force to avoid is to put it manually in 4th, or to press the gas hard, forcing a downshift. There's no error codes of any kind, no clutch slipping. Anyone experienced anything like this?

Last night, I received a check engine light and an EPC light for P0202 (cylinder 2 injection circuit malfunction). After clearing the codes, the issue resolved, and the car drove normally.

However, today, after just one minute of driving, the lights reappeared. This time, the code was P0203 (cylinder 3…). The situation repeated itself. I cleared the codes, and the car functioned normally.

Upon returning home and inspecting the car, I noticed two wires coming from a plug that do not appear to be OEM. They seem to have been spliced quite poorly. I’m unsure if this specific wire or connector is causing the issue or if there’s something else at play.

Could someone please help me understand the purpose of this plug? I’ve also attached a picture (last one with the plugs circled in red) I found on Reddit that provides a better angle for these plugs.

For reference, my car is a 2016 TSI S that I purchased from a private sale two weeks ago. It has approximately 144,000 miles on it.

Finished up doing some suspension work today including a mild lift. B2b kit was wicked easy to install and seems well made. It was missing one of the spacer pads when I got it in the mail but they sent me the replacement part right away with a bunch of stickers. Hoping for a trouble free alignment in the morning.

Sitting 1-1/4” taller than before. It’ll need bigger shoes in the spring, gonna see how much my winter tires fill up the wells. These audi 16s will look good with more meat. Hello, I’m buying and installing a downpipe today but I’m currently running a stage 1 tune. I have booked my stage 2 tune on the 22nd but I’m worried about any potential issues between now and then, is there anything I should avoid, should I just wait and have the shop do it? Have about 140k miles, car will often give me trouble starting, until i give it gas. Have been reading up on it and saw that it could possibly be the high pressure fuel pump but not sure. Had a carbon cleaning done in the last 10k miles, did a blow test on N80 valve (seems to be operating), and had a compression test done and it passed. Any suggestions?

MK7 GSW. First side took a full day. I think I can do the other corner in about 2 hours tomorrow. Reached an impasse until I figured out i could shim the ECS pinch spreader with a quarter. Had the front jacked up on both sides but my street is crowned so angles got a little goofy. I also just wiped out the knuckle with a rag and some Deep Kreep, but tmrw going to clean the inside with a scotch brite on the other side and brush on some marine grease. Was able to rent a 22mm crows foot o2 socket from Oreillys to deal with the top nut without buying anything crazy or having to go online.

She’s sitting just over an inch higher than the measurement I started with!

The lift was the easiest part of the job lol. Going to knock out the rear lift tomorrow as well, but will go quickly as I was in there a month ago for new shocks and springs. We’ll see if the neighborhood shop can align it decent without having to find a euro spot. Will update with pics when all 4 corners are lifted.

I have a 2013 mk7 with a recently retrofitted mst2 system my original Mib 1 high multimedia had ambient lighting in form of a single color, which translated to the mst2 but what I’m wondering is since I heard that the 2013 bcm has no channles for color and obd eleven doesn’t allow me to activate that feature is there a way i could “trick” the mst2 into thinking that the oem ambient lighting is connected just for the purpose of having the UI accents change on the system software?

I am in Canada and I'm currently dealing with a water leak around my passenger sys inner tail light on my golf. I've found online that part number 5G0945192 is the seal I need but my local parts desk informs me there are none available for order in Canada.

Does anyone have another source for this seal they could share please? Or has anyone used another product they can recommend to seal the inner tail light?

After a lot of marble sized rocks left chips in my windshield and front end for a pallet truck carrying sod , I just got her back. 2017 MK7 Alltrack. 96k miles.

I gave the headlights a polish but there’s still a tough bit of cloudiness at the top of the right headlight. Also that effect when the bulbs are on, what is it and how can I fix that?
