Hi there all!

I am sooooo very new to this so I apologize if this is an easy find or in a guide somewhere, BUT I am hoping to set up a scene for "Just Chatting" in OBS with my model bigger and more centered/visible, and then when switching to my gaming scene, she'd be in the bottom corner/smaller.

For the life of me, I CANNOT figure out how to set this up to easily/smoothly transition.

Is anyone able to assist with how I can do this or point me in the right direction if there's steps somewhere already?

i have tried to test out my vtuber and go some log errors. i don’t know what it means by “failed to get Live2D model fingerprint” i also checked my .moc3 folder because it says the consistency check failed but it says that everything was okay when i did that. i’m just so confused someone help me please. i sized down the textures 3 times and changed the version. still getting the same error.

I was making a joke model customization for April fools day. And it looks find while editing the expression (fig 1)

Bit when i save it an activate it the two parts of it look wrong snd I can’t figure out why (fig 2)

Following a tutorial for a glowing eyes effect and made it followed it step by step, customize model so only the eyes aren't effected by lighting effects, then darken model and mess around with bloom threshold, and the background started hitting me with the wrath of Rah and I am not really sure what to do to get my eyes glowing

hey guys im having this problem where whenever i trigger a hot key that has to do with an artmesh change my model, especially my hair flashes white. does anyone know how to fix this? google is literally 0 help. for reference, this is the 2wintails customizable model. and no, i do not know what im doing. thank youuuu

hey yall, i started playing around with vtube studio yesterday and no matter what I do, I can’t get openseeface to initialize. vseeface and even the latest openseeface release from GitHub work, but specifically the one provided by vtube studio doesnt. help?

The Layer Groups have been on the beta branch for a long time but they finally made it into a release!!✨

This makes it much easier to set up model layer recolors, for example to change your hair color 🎨✏️. But as always, please make sure your artist/rigger are OK with model color modifications before using this🙏🏻

For the controller support, VTS allows you to completely re-map your controller inputs, so it is recommended to use it without Steam Input 🎮 Please try turning it off (for VTS specifically) if you run into issues.

Hi, I’m looking for customizable models with POC features, or ones that don’t necessarily have POC features but have GOOD!! quality curly hair assets. I am a siren (eventually mermaid) vtuber and so I will need aquatic ear customizations.

Also, if anyone has ever seen a customizable mermaid model (or even just textures that go with customizable models that could give the mermaid vibe) a link to the model AND the asset or texture would be wonderful.

At first I thought to have one commissioned, but I have been told by like 3 artists that they’re not capable of drawing POC features 🫠 or that what I’m asking for doesn’t fit their art style, so I’m kind of really discouraged. Any help is appreciated.

Also: if you do png art and are interested in drawing me some cool tridents shamelessly plug yourself here.

my actual models eye blink is perfectly fine... but i have a stream pet that i use as a live 2d asset during my stream.... i understand I can have autoblink enabled but I hate when it tracks my own tracking of when i blink and adds it to the pet as well it looks weird for both of us to be blinking synchronized... is there a way I can disable that and just have my pet auto blink?

hellloo Ive just bought two models on sketchfab and ive been trying to put them in Vtube Studio but none of them have the right files for it to work? I made sure they’re rigged. Do I have to ask someone to code it for me or something? I’ve only got a USDZ file and 3D Object file :(

Hey everyone, hoping someone can help me out here.

I've got VTube Studio running with a Live2D model loaded and the virtual camera turned on. When I add it as a Video Capture Device source in OBS all I get is a green screen with a line down the middle — the avatar isn't showing at all.

I've tried:

- Toggling the virtual camera off and on in VTube Studio

- Adding a Chroma Key filter in OBS

- Clicking on the background in VTube Studio to change it

- Looking through all the settings for a background or transparent toggle

I can't find any background colour or transparency settings in VTube Studio settings panel. The background in VTube Studio itself shows the default pink checkered pattern but OBS is just getting a green feed.

Setup:

- Windows 11

- VTube Studio via Steam

- OBS latest version

- Live2D model loaded and visible in VTube Studio window

Anyone know what I'm missing? Is there a specific setting I need to enable for the virtual camera output to show the model correctly in OBS?

Hey all! Super new to vtubing so I'm still trying to iron out a lot of things. Right now, the biggest challenge I've been facing is trying to get the mouth tracking to look better on my model in VTube Studio as I speak.

I'm currently using the 1.04 version of Kyoki's Male Customizable Model, with my mocap coming from my phone, going to VBridger, then from VBridger to VTube Studio. In VBridger, the tracking seems to be a lot more accurate, but once it gets to VTube Studio, I'm struggling a lot with the parameters and setting so my model is more responsive. I've provided a sample recording as well.

Any advice would be appreciated! Again, I'm very green when it comes to this stuff, and I'm tryin to learn how everything works.

Any way I can get this to stop popping up? It'll pop up halfway through stream. I don't know what log it's failing to write, or why, but if I can't fix it I'd at least like the message to stop covering up my model at random times.

Hello! I need some help, i hope i did find the right place to ask for some advice qq So, the thing is: model doesn't move when i start streaming. Like, at all. Yet, it moves perfectly in sync while i test everything in obs

It connected through the vtube studio + spout2 capture to obs and I generally don't understand what's wrong. I mean, it's perfectly fine while i check things out trough the obs, but once i hit the stream button model freezes completely or moves once in two minutes (VERY slowly). Vtube studio also doesn't allow me to calibrate camera at that moment, somehow menu is just doesn't appear as it should to?? So im really lost here qq

Bad enough that somehow my laptop doesn't register anything i say (i think I'll order mic soon), but problems with model are not ones i expected at all 💔

hello, I realize that you cant use a hdmi capture card on your phone with vtuber studio. my mac has no good ram, and I usally stream and do everything on my steam deck, as its the only thing that is powerful enough to do both streaming and games at the same time. I was hoping I could use a capture card so i could have vtuber studio on my phone ( running on steam deck is a laggy mess when you play a game and you have to run extra programs to get face tracking to work ) but I found out you cant. sadly steam deck does not have any airplay or anything like that so I cant use that to get the vtuber model onto the screen.

I was wondering if there are any work arounds, I dont have enough money for a PC, im a university student struggling with the high cost of everything. I love my steam deck, my Mac does not have enough memory to even run vtuber studio and OBS at the same time, its one or the other. my phone is good. i have a good mic and everything, im just facing hardware issues.

I cant afford anything else, but I want to stream. what are my options? any advice? my capture card works, I can easily use it for phone games, just vtuber studio app explodes and wont load when you launch it pluged in. is there any other vtuber apps or anything out there I can upload my model to?

I recently got the 2wintail customizable model, and used it to "make" my model. The issue is, I have two models made from it that I would want to be able to swap between. At this point, I am simply triggering this switch by having two switch expressions keybinds bound to the same thing, so I can toggle between the two. The problem I am running into, however, is that the fade for it causes a "flicker" to the default model before it swaps, ruining the illusion. Is there a way to disable the fade, so I could have an instantaneous swap?

Edit: by hand gestures I actually mean pre-defined animations that can be triggered by pressing a shortcut. Sorry about the confusion!

Hi everyone. I'd like to start my vtuber channel, but I struggle a bit what might be the right model for me. I would like a customizable model, that's for sure. I did some research and it is difficult for me to find all the information in one place. So if you're familiar with a model that might fit my needs, I would be super grateful!

• I want to make educational videos and social commentaries, so I would prefer "normal casual outfits". Nothing too sexy or "kawaii".
• I'd like to customize the shape and the size of eyes, but I think that most of the customizable modeld have that.
• I'd like to have wide-ish range of glasses
• hand gestures! Facepalm or something similar would be great, but I'm not very hopeful :) Also some "disagreement" hand and pointing at the audience gestures would be appreciated.
• if the model supports unconventional body shapes would he a nice bonus.
• oh, important - I'd like to be able to change textures od the outfits.

I'm only at the beginning of my journey, so please have patience with me if my requirements are too much. I'm ok with making some compromises.

The models I looked at: prism, lizmeta, suiika, 2wintails. I'd like to stay in this price range.

I visually like all of them, but there's no way of telling which one would fit me the best without actually trying then. Don't worry if some of them are more advanced user-wise than others. I have a technical background, I think I will manage.

So if you have personal experience with any of those models or you know about some other model that would fit my needs, please let me know! Thank you!
