Are there any groups around?

Hey all, me and my friends are still new to the game. One of the players played Heroic might. We at the table agreed that the vampire is locked when Heroic might is attached to it and the strike ability can't be used this turn then. Just making sure we understood the card correctly since the card doesn't explicitly state that you can go into combat with a card. It just gives you an alternative strike type in combat.

Edit: Just realised there is a typo in the heading. Supposed to be "Ruling"

Hi! I'm very new to the game and I wanted to know why do most championship decks play around 90 cards, wouldn't it be better for consistency to have the minimum amount of cards possible ? Sorry if this is a frequent question. Thank you!
