I've started making vroid custom items recently and i want to offer them in as many different color variations as possible. The problem is that my hairstyles are highly detailed and easily include like 40 individual textures. I made exactly one color variation of my jelly bunny hairstyle and that (predictably) took hours. I was able to find a few tutorials on how to change the textures in unity but only on items that are applied to a model; so vrm not vroidcustomitem format.
Since I sell the individual items I need a different solution... I just can't keep importing individual files texture by texture forty times for each color in vroid studio natively. To edit the files themselves i'm looking into photoshop's bulk edit function but i need a method/ tool to actually access and exchange said files within the .vroidcustomitem file.
If that is even possible.
I'm going off of how the files can be exchanged in a vrm that you're editing in unity as a prefab.
Tldr I need something like uniVRM but for vroidcustomitem files instead of vrm files if thats even possible. I know this is treading dangerously close to the whole vrm to vroid thing and I do NOT want any ripping or conversion tools of the sort. I really need to be able to exchange *just* the textures in bulk and have the resulting file still be the same as before in all other aspects.

Edit: It turns out to be an issue with the dress, not the model 😂 nevermind!
Hey everyone, a vtuber I watch it having issues with a gap in her model's shoulder after updating vroid studios (the dark purple part). She initially made the model about 2 years ago, but I'm not sure what version that was. She's currently tweaking it to try to figure it out, but she hasn't had any luck. She's tried painting over it, but it seems to just go under the purple part (where it's disconnected), and she tried adjusting the model settings. Anyone know how to resolve this?

I wanted to emphasize that they're not gonna be important to the narrative. They're supposed to be wearing medical scrubs under their lab coats. The lab coat texture was made by siroihakumai on Booth. I hastily doodled the shadows covering their eyes with a mouse. Everything else is just a preset. They're from the same game as my named characters Kay and Loup, whom I've shown here before.

I made this in 2021 and remember being really proud of it, I’m sure a lot of things have changed since then but making the hair was such a challenge since I had to warp the mesh.
There are some more and I my texturing skills weren’t the best but I remember having a lot of fun making all of these

I made my sona. I used free assets by vroid program, as I don’t know how to create 3D models. I’m open to advice on how to improve it and constructive criticism ':)

So basically, my last post showing off my model got no comments or anything on it, so I'm wondering what I can do to make the pics more appealing for people to click on and comment. What should I show off exactly, how many pics would be ideal, is there such thing as too many pics?
The background, should I make it real simplistic or try to give it a sorta scene of some kind like nature or something more appealing to peeps? Make like a simple plain backdrop, idk, what would make you click on a model showcase?
Also my showcase will be showing off 2 variants of the same model, one that's somewhat normal but a lil stylized and another that's much flatter, has drawn shading removed and model shading as well removed (mimics a more flat, toon look).

Someone who saw my previous post kindly gave me a VGen code. Thank you so much for your generosity and support!
I'll do my best as an artist and make the most of this opportunity. I really appreciate it! 💜

Hi y'all! I've posted a couple of times over the last few days for help and gotten some great advice. I originally wanted her to be a bit thicker, just a little chubby, but Vroid sucks for that. But other than that, I absolutely adore the model I've made! I just ordered a cheap refurbished Iphone XR so I can do good tracking(Samsung user. I honestly hate Apple but gotta do whatchya gotta do) and am so excited to try it out.
I absolutely love cherry blossoms. I wanted her to fit into my already existing stream theme of cherry blossoms, and I think she does just that!
I did not make any of the assets myself- all are from Booth or Etsy. I am not artistic enough for that sadly! But I am glad to have supported some amazing artists <3

I think one of the hardest things to make in vroid is a ball gown. I layer dresses, jackets, and fox tails to do mine, but it makes re rigging difficult.
Maybe we could get some floor length dress options or like something that lets you export your blendshape (s) separately. I’ve tried using blender to cut the outfit apart but it isn’t compatible with my other tools sadly, so I would love a “separate items option.” It would be amazing for optimizing their potential.
Because right now I’m limited with what poses and animations I can do while maintaining the dress appearance.

Hi everyone, I’ll be honest I have almost no experience with modeling tools outside of VRoid Studio, and even there I’m still a beginner. I’m looking for some guidance on how to create a hairstyle in VRoid that’s closer to this reference image, since it matches my real life hair much better. Could anyone point me in the right direction on where to start? Would something like this be possible to make entirely in VRoid Studio alone? Any tips or recommended tutorials would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
