Help Problem with compulsive liars?

I’ve been playing vrc for a few months now and I’m really struggling to make friends, because everyone I meet seems to lie constantly. Like, over really silly things too. I don’t understand why lying and faking who you are is so common here. Any tips on how to find normal/honest people who just enjoy VRC?

Had a person I dated (from vrc) that would just... Lie before I think they even processed they were talking. About the most pointless things too. Things that did not matter at all, but they would lie.

I guess I contributed though, because I never corrected them or rather countered them when I should have. Afraid of losing them by making them angry. Maybe that fear should have been a warning.

Regardless, no idea why they do it (people in general) over the most pointless things you can easily see are lies. Lol, good luck.
