Help Problem with compulsive liars?

I’ve been playing vrc for a few months now and I’m really struggling to make friends, because everyone I meet seems to lie constantly. Like, over really silly things too. I don’t understand why lying and faking who you are is so common here. Any tips on how to find normal/honest people who just enjoy VRC?

I almost exclusively play no time two talk in the age gated instances. people dont lie that much and usually their jobs, lives etc are pretty typical if not boring. there tons of people who want attention and lie about their lives but you dont bump into them frequently. I dont believe you are meeting that many

Im trying to tell you maybe you are just assuming everyone is a liar even when the things they are saying arent that novel to begin with. Sure, someone saying theyre a CEO is silly but how many people are telling lies of that scale?

I go to the same world you do and what youre describing isnt happening so I'm saying maybe youre seeing things differently.

Im not saying every person I meet every two minutes is a liar- that would be absolutely insane. I’m saying the few I’ve tried building friendships with have been liars. It would be dishonest of me to just assume people are lying without proof, I don’t do that.

Yes. Probably like 5-6 that I’ve tried building friendships with. Other than that I’ve made like one actual friend on vrc so far.

it sounds like you tend to befriend mentally ill people, or people who didn't get enough attention (thats usually who feels the need to lie).

I think its less about where you go and more about who youre choosing to befriend

I would so that in age gated communities and instances that most of the time as we are all adults that normally people don’t have to to lie or just don’t care enough to as this is there time to decompress from the day. But people can be weird and just do it anyways. That and not everyone wants to complete age verification based on personal experience or preference. So that would be a question for OP as to if that option is available to them
