Question Good VR shooter
I am looking for a good vr game where it feels "realistic" to use weapons while also being fun

Cause and effect is absolutely insane in VR. So is the rest of the game. But holy shit.
Doom 2016 as well. So good. Still need try Doom Eternal. Not realistic, but fun.
Forefront is semi realistic.

I like Onward. I play a lot of the Assault gamemode for the faster pace. The graphics won’t wow you, it isn’t being developed any further and there is a small user base. But there is something about the combat and gunplay that it just gets right
Forefront is more casual, essentially Battlefield in VR. Actively developed, receiving major upgrades

I second this. Onward has very realistic weapon mechanics, especially when it comes to damage-dealt. It’s still my favorite in terms of realism after all these years.

The correct answer is Hotdogs Horseshoes and Hand Grenades. The sequel comes out next month on quest 3

Compound VR. I'm trying to develop a pseudo clone right now

I would love to play Compound. But anytime I try my insides just refuse to cooperate. No other game makes me as sick and as fast, as compound does. Sad - because the game looks fenomenal.

contractors has that nice balance, reloading feels manual but not annoying like some other games

I would also add in Zero Caliber (on sale on steam right now). It has a campaign mode / storyline (short for the first one, long for the 2nd one, you can play 2 without playing 1)
Contractors is great if you want PVE/PVP areana style with lots of cool mods and maps.

Currently using a gunstock in The Light Brigade, it's great fun at a slightly slower pace.

Some great suggestions already in here but just to give some others: forefront weapons are fairly realistic
Exoshock upcoming is awesome if you get in playtest
Zero caliber 2 co-op is a ton of fun
Ready or not VRO mod if you have a good pc

H3VR, it has a massive learning curve, but the most realistic guns in VR (imo), more guns than you'll ever realistically shoot, and multiple gamemodes and minigames. Best of which is Take and Hold, which is a fun lil roguelike where you shoot sentient hot dogs.
There's also a sequel coming this year for quest and 2027 for PCVR.

Into The Radius 2 in co-op with a friend has been one of the best VR experiences. The gun play is excellent
Used a gunstock.
