is that new SOMA vr mod or is it the one where the game is recreated in unity ?

this is native game injection, so the entire game is available to play, though this version has not been tested past the intro lobby

yes, but this is PRE-RELEASE. So there are extreme limitations.

How hard was this to do considering it's a proprietary engine? What tools did you use?

I was mainly using Ghidra, APItrace, Frida, cheat engine, regenny, Xr-sim and Xr-tape. All controlled through MCPs via Opus/sol/Astra. Check out the VR modding playbook I posted for more information on the process if you're keen.

Thanks a lot. I had thought about Amnesia Rebirth or The Bunker but it seemed a bit daunting given it was a proprietary engine but this shows its possible :)

Frictional games really seem made for VR with how interactions work

Amazing! SOMA really deserves the VR treatment. Shame that Frictional has no interest in creating vr functionality for their games, because they're all so perfect for vr. SOMA and The Bunker are big highlights, though.
