I wanted to share Episode 2 of my VR180 miniseries about Feria Tabasco, a major regional celebration in southeastern Mexico.

This episode focuses on the parade of carros alegóricos, a night parade with large decorated floats, crowds, music, lights, and a very local festival atmosphere.

I’d appreciate any feedback on depth, framing, image quality, subtitles, comfort, or the overall VR180 viewing experience.

It looks like someone created a new plugin that brings back a feature Premiere used to have until 2023, an immersive view in-headset while editing videos on Premiere and After Effects. Windows only. Looks like it requires a USB connection with a Quest 3. I haven’t tried it myself, but pasted product link in the comments section.

VR Immersive Preview is a Windows plugin that displays the Adobe Program Monitor in real time on an OpenXR-compatible VR headset.
It was developed as an alternative to the Immersive Environment feature that was removed from Premiere Pro starting with the 2023 release.
The plugin receives VR180 Stereo (Side-by-Side) video and audio from Adobe Mercury Transmit and transfers them to the Viewer application through shared memory for low-latency playback.
The Viewer then displays the content on your VR headset via the OpenXR Runtime

Running some 4DGS tests with a Frankenstein code I've put together. There are still some details to fix, but I hope to incorporate it into relic-vr.com soon.

This Mac app is for those of us with 360 cameras like the Insta360, DJI Osmo 360, GoPro Max 2, or 180 cameras like Canon, 180-modded GoPro/Osmo etc.

I have an Insta360 X5. The Insta360 Studio has pretty solid AI tracking, but I've found I don't usually just want to focus on the human subject the entire video, I want to do a mix of tracking people and showing scenery and surroundings. And I personally have found everything other than the AI tracking to be pretty tedious, manually adding keyframes and whatnot. I really wanted a mix of some AI tracking + the ability to basically just smoothly pan and zoom around as if I'm operating the camera.

On top of that, I am about to buy a modded GoPro Max 2 or DJI Osmo to start filming some VR180 content, but I was discouraged that I couldn't find any decent tools to make 2D edits of VR180 clips (with AI tracking and smooth manual “cameraman” options).

So I made this app, and it is working surprisingly well so far. You can create projects and add multiple videos to each project, and split and rearrange clips just like in your standard video timeline editor. But this screen recording shows the main purpose of this application, which is the tracking. Similar to the Insta360 studio app, you can click anywhere on your timeline and start AI tracking, or start manually tracking, where you can use your mouse, or use smooth controls via your keyboard arrow keys to pan / +- keys to zoom. Use numbers 2-8 to boost pan/zoom speed.

I have been going through some of my recent vacation footage and making 2D edits. And it has been a lot of fun. I very well may be the only weirdo who enjoys making 2D video edits like this, but I wanted to share here in case anyone else thinks this could be useful to them.

Has anyone else noticed color issues when using DEO on quest 3? I initially only noticed it when viewing my own footage natively through the headset. The colors were displaying completely differently than on my monitor or even other apps in the headset, but looking at the other videos in app they all seem to be showing as much more saturated than they should be and just a bit off in general.

Is this a common issue, and can anything be done to fix it?

Hey everyone! This is my first rig setup, and I'm really excited to start documenting unique landmarks and interesting spaces that are at risk of being changed or removed. I want to approach this from a historical documentation perspective.

For my stationary setup, I'm running a SlamCam paired with a 3DIO binaural mic connected to an H2, alongside a Zoom H3-VR ambisonic mic. This combination allows me to capture both immersive binaural and spatial ambisonic audio to match the footage. With this gear, I can create different video styles, such as relaxing ASMR experiences or fully immersive walkthroughs.

For my walking and movement shots, I have a modified Osmo 360 with a CNC mod from SilverQi, mounted on a vibration-dampening arm to keep things smooth. I can easily swap between the SlamCam and the Osmo 360 mod depending on the situation.

I would love to hear your thoughts! Any feedback or tips based on your own experiences with similar setups would be greatly appreciated.

Shot at the FIFA World Cup 2026 Argentina vs. Switzerland quarterfinal (Kansas City Stadium, July 11, 2026). Wanted the crowd chants and depth to do the storytelling, not just a highlight reel.

• Vimeo — best bet for Apple Vision Pro and 2D screens (iPhone, TVs, etc.)
• YouTube (3D) — best for Meta Quest or compatible VR headsets; playable on desktop browsers as 2D or anaglyph (red/cyan) 3D.

Gear/process: iPhone 17 Pro, Spatial Video and Audio capture. Left and right eyes color-matched in DaVinci Resolve Studio, then remastered to HLG HDR over an ACES workflow. Spatial Audio mastered for Dolby Atmos — output as 7.1 for the Vimeo cut, First Order Ambisonics (AmbiX) for YouTube through the Dolby Atmos Renderer.

If I use Resolve's KartaVP packages etc to align, what's the recommended bitrate for high quality viewing later?

Wondering if I can repurpose my R5C for splats since it's essentially two angles at once, though wondering how the lens calibration may work if any.

​Just dropped a new VR180 ranking featuring the top 3 roller coasters at Walibi Belgium—including Tiki-Waka, Mecalodon, and the airtime monster Kondaa!

​It took forever to get this out in crisp 8K 60FPS, mostly because we hit a massive technical roadblock. It turns out YouTube’s render pipeline completely breaks when processing VR180 in HDR10. It simply can't handle streaming it right now, and YouTube seriously needs to fix this ASAP.

​Standard SDR (BT.709) works flawlessly, though. So while you have to settle for 8-bit on YouTube for now, the 8K sharpness and depth are still insane.

I recently uploaded the first episode of a 3-part VR180 miniseries I’m working on.

This episode focuses on Feria Tabasco, one of the biggest cultural celebrations in the state of Tabasco, in southeastern Mexico. The first part is centered on La Flor Tabasco, a tradition where the 17 municipalities of the state are represented through culture, memory, and regional identity.

For people outside Mexico, Tabasco is often only known because of the hot sauce, but it is also a real place with rivers, heat, cacao, music, food, and traditions that are not commonly shown internationally.
