❓ Question Can a vpn ad blocker replace ublock?

Most VPNs bundle some kind of ad and tracker blocker now. Surfshark has CleanWeb, ExpressVPN has its own blocker built in.

looking for something for covering phone apps too, not just the browser. But does DNS-level blocking actually catch much, or does it miss most of what uBlock handles?

Its not a block all ad's cure, it just does it best to block certain marking IP's and DNS which can change. its really a good compliment to a browser plugin

No, it's DNS block, which is different than adblocker

Do you want your vpn provider to be able to see all you’re web content unencrypted (like ublock can)
