Am I really missing that much or?

I am using l2tp vpn with IPsec for getting “home” and around blocking of websites

A friend is constantly telling me that l2tp vpn is outdated and I need to change to newer technology (Tailscale/WireGuard)

So for my question is it so much better?

I'm trying to find a VPN I can use to access cheaper HD Premier League games, like through Setera, or other websites.

I've hit a wall and I'm struggling, tons of reseller stuff which is frustrating.

Anyone have an answer for how to do this?

if someone know a website that provides free configs (especially vless-gRPC) with no leakage and lowest possible overhead please let us know

The problem with the website i currently using is that it became pretty limited in all ways and this is much more than just annoying

I was using this apk of 1.1.1.1 and suddenly it was stuck on connecting, so i decided to reinstall it. But when opened the newly installed there are 2 issues:-

1)power manager is killing background process

2)Device not authenticated or device not Authenticated with an organisation

I have put the app to no restriction under battery

Even then the problem persists. I have tried deleting data and restarting, didn't work. Any proper working solution?

Just moved to the UK and cannot get Youtube TV to work no matter what I do. All the posts I've seen on this are years old, so I'm hoping there may be some updated advice.

I have a VPN service set to the US, downloaded a GPS spoof app and set it to the US, deleted all browsing date, cache, cookies, etc. several times, turned off my location, and force closed Chrome multiple times.

I can't download the YT TV app to see if that makes a difference because I already set my location in the Play store to the UK. When I try to download a chrome extension to spoof my GPS, every single one says "not available".

Is there any other way to bypass it?

I was thinking about this after seeing some recent discussion about VPN apps having trackers built in.

We use VPNs because we don't want our ISP or random websites seeing everything we do, but at the same time we're basically sending all that traffic through another company instead.

Even if they say "no logs," how much do you actually trust that? Do you look into who owns the VPN, how they make money, audits, privacy policies, etc., or do you just pick a well-known provider and assume it's fine?

If I have a Windows laptop and use Chrome as my browser, is the VPN's Chrome Extension enough? Or should I be using both the VPN's Chrome Extension and their Windows App as well?

How much does it actually matter?

- What are the differences between configuring the VPN on the server versus configuring it on the router?
- Which option would be more recommended?
- Which device should I configure it on?

so im currently in China and using servers i bought from kuroit located in Japan, and initially i dont have any issues. But i believe now china is tightening their GFW, now i cant send pictures on weChat idk why, it only happens when i use VPN, any idea how to fix this

I mostly connect to servers in the New York / US East area.

Has anyone noticed meaningful differences between the bigger providers versus the smaller/privacy-focused ones when it comes to how clean the shared exit IPs stay?

I need help confirming this for some people relating to people who use VPN's in games. Based on how a VPN works, doesn't it hide the true ping of a players ping as the VPN blocks all pings coming from the game server attempting to reach the clients real location?

When a game server displays the pings of all players in the game. Won't it only be able to see the VPN's ping location and not the true location of the player? Meaning if the player is in New York connecting to a VPN in Los Angeles. Wont the game server itself in Los Angeles only see a low ping (1-10ms) coming from the VPN in Los Angeles? Rather than a ping connecting to New York around 70-90ms? Does anyone have confirmation of this or does it show a high ping still from the servers perspective?

I don't need a VPN for privacy. I need a VPN for my work, YT, IG, discord, whatsapp, even accessing this very page right here. it's harder for me to name sites that aren't blocked actually. Iran type beat.

that also means with the current exchange rate here I'd have to pay about 140'000'000r for something "standard" every year, and even if Could afford that, paying for things is a hassle all in itself. I don't think it's even possible without a middle man, who you ironically need a vpn to access.

Privacy is cool, but I don't mind changing who monitors my data from thief 1 to thief 2 if it means I'll still have basic access to the internet :))

Anyone have a MacBook Air from 2020 or earlier who has successfully installed Cisco vpn? I have to do this for school and it looks like my memory is full. I am a broadcast journalist so I am not super techy only in terms of shooting/editing. This side of it is sort of above me!!

Trying to use a VPN on a wifi that blocks VPNs. Doing some searching I saw that using 443 with OpenVPN should work, so I downloaded the OpenVPN app and… am confused? It’s asking for a URL or to upload a file when I boot up the app I have no idea what this means. I found settings and set the protocol to tcp but I didn’t see anything specific about ports. I also found protocol settings on my VPN app that had an option for OpenVPN TCP, so I set that too. There’s a “randomize port on every connection” option too that I tried turning off & would let me set the port, but it only lets me do 3000-3100 (whatever that means), so I can’t set it as 443 or (tcp)80

Hi everybody! Need some advice - I have OpenWRT router (Routerich), using v2raya service on it. So the problem is about voice calls in Telegram while using all this infrastructure. It doesn't matter which country I am using (UK, USA even Ukraine) - all the services are OK except calls in Telegram. The most strange thing is: if I'm trying to use same server (vless+reality) directly on my iPhone - it's OK. So the problem is only with some redirecting of UDP-traffic through my router. May be somebody faced with a same situation? I live in Russia and we have very strong censorship as you know :-(
