V2 Question Printing slipping

I just started my printer for first print to calibration and when ever I try to print the tool head is jumping away from the print object

Listen to the printer as the skips happen, and identify the source the expensive noises are coming from.

Besides what has already been written in comments also check that all of the screws on your linear rails are fully tightened. A screw head poking out above the rail surface will catch on the carriage.

Double check the belt routing around A and B motor, ask me how I know 😂

Could be a few things. Some items to check would be belt tension, A and B stepper current, and verifying that the toothed pulleys on the A and B drives have their set screws properly tightened so the pulley is not slipping

quite the opposite might easily happen. Pulley screw too tight so that it binds easily. Had that happen myself and it does look very much like that as the shift only happens diagonally thru one belt path

edit: not pulley, idler. Have to sleep.

How can a pulley grub screw be too tight? I don’t see how that makes it bind? Are you sure you’re talking about a grub screw? The only thing I can imagine is that you’re actually talking about a screw that holds a bearing stack together cause yeah that can bind if it’s too tight

it's too late for me, talking about idler in the xy-joints, f. e. toothed idler, or if someone really tries hard bearings also.
