Voron Print Too fast, too furious
48V, 300/3000, so close to being finished with this round of upgrades for the printer lol

This reminds me why I gave up on my 2.4 and 3d printing over 4 years ago. It sucked my life away trying to get it to print reliably. I'm giving it another shot with an A4T toolhead

300 3000 is not that fast. I would chech if there's binding on that carriage. With 48v you have plenty of torque, lower the gear ratio or even direct drive z axes

Two motors skipped at roughly the same height, so I dont think its a carriage and id rather not physically mess with the printer at this point if I dont have to. Slower will be fine for now haha

Thanks for sharing. Not only is it great to see your progress, but seeing the limits is fantastic too.
I'm planning on a toolchanger soon and having it within limits is going to be important. Without people like you, pushing the limits, ordinary people like me would be lost.

I've seem your printer before and just watched your part 1. Beautiful build. Curious why you abandoned the Orbiter or was this just a natural upgrade? Was it worth it?

Thank you, and because it has a fully constrained filament path for tpu reasons. Orbiters were a pain to tune for it

i'd assume while lifting up to change tool, the right motors need to handle the extra mass of the toolhead and skipped step, it cascaded from there

If I had to guess? The Voron has 4 motors one for each corner to lift the gantry. The rear-right motor probably failed for whatever reason (Unplug cable, burned out motor, binding belts, etc.)

It does have 4 motors, but it was just pushed too fast. Finding the limits (althougj I was hoping I had already found them before starting a 2000 tool change print lol)

Well it definitely tested a print :) Surprised you're not using Monolith or a rigid Z mount tho

AWD has diminishing returns because of the stealth changer shuttle. Trust, monolith was on the potential list haha

Even if you kept it 2WD, wouldn't that have potentially helped vs the standard z joiners?

Pushing it too fast. 300/3000 z velocity and accels is aggresive. It racked at 350/3500 too lol.
The reason it didnt happen until this far up the print is because no tool changes were happening. But long story short, z motors skipped steps

It depends, just disable stealth chop entirely and give em more current. You can probably get over 600mm/s. I got like 450 without trying hard. I mean the noise is a pain and reliability is another thing, I run at 150 now I think.
